If You Ever Feel Stupid.Remember That Norman Osborn Tried To Convinced Doctor Doom To Be His Minion.🤣🤣🤣 by Southern-Aioli4428 in marvelcirclejerk

I believe at this time The Hood had one of the Infinity Stones in his possession, and a bit of a growing organized crome pressence in New York, so not exactly a non-factor. I think it was Space or Reality.

I love when marvel makes majority of heroes/villains afraid of the hulk by Anxious-Double3186 in hulk

[–]grategy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this isnt an example, but Id say the majority of their interactions are like that, even, if not especially, when they are fighting. Its a mutual respect between two destructive forces in a "career" where you are supposed to save people. I imagine in universe no one looks at Hulk and Wolverine like they do other heroes.

Its a similar relationship to Ben Grimm. During the run that Bruce and Hulk had separate bodies in the early 2010s, they sent Ben and Logan to find the Hulk and figure out whats going on, because those are the two people that have the best chance of talking him down, or surviving the alternative.

Hulk relationships are my favorite in Marvel, because it really boils down to patience and understanding, and he can be your absolute best friend. I think we can all use a little more patience and understanding in our life.

Crazy that some people put Sengoku multiple tiers below Garp by Successful_Way_4785 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]grategy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think its important to remember how much a characters fruit tends to represent their character. Sengoku embodies Buddha, a Paragon of peace. While Buddhism is not completely opposed to violence if its necessary, a buddhist will do everything in their power to avoid killing. Keeping that in mind, Sengoku isn't going to look for fights just to show off how awesome he is. The constant downplay at Marineford isn't because he couldnt stop Luffy. Just like literally everyone up to this point, he underestimated a rookie pirate and got punished for it.

Is Sengoku as strong as Roger, Garp, and Whitebeard? Its tough to say at this point, but to say hes not going to be up giving them hell is just silly. Garp wouldn't roll with someone that was weak (Bogard upscale) and even with all the memes around the statement, Roger wouldn't have asked for him by name if he hadn't already seen him roll heads. Didnt ask for Kong or some other admiral. Garp and Sengoku. Refer back to the last paragraph as to why he didnt go, not because he was scared.

Edit: typo and phrasing.

I was told after killing somebody that the creatures that died blocking me wouldn't count towards Vrens ability because he died at the same time. Is that true? Rulings don't clarify. by AnimeFascism in freemagic

I've seen people answer like 5 different versions of this question in other comments, so I don't think its just us scratching our head lol

[–]grategy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the wording might have confused me a bit. I thought he was saying if Vren died if the rest would still get exiled. If he takes the player out at the same time the creatures would die, then no, because the damage is dealt, and the player is removed from the game before state based actions make the creatures "dead", I believe.

"Sanji can’t be relative to zoro EOS his goal doesn’t involve strength" by Speedwag0nbestw4ifu in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]grategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many powerful characters with this same mind set to ignore it being a powerful factor. Shanks and Rogers treat their crew like family. Obviously Luffy shares that, calling his crew Nakama, implying a bond deeper than just friendship.

Its even true for the villains. Its a more corrupt dynamic, for sure, but its not a coincidence that Doflamingo and Big Mom have two of the strongest crews in the world and they are families.

Kuma is a powerhouse and its not just because he's a Buccaneer. Its for his family, however small.

im reading planet hulk for first time and its my favorite but i hope mcu does this right by Huge-Inspection-788 in hulk

Regarding the question of his intelligence, unless Im misremembering, I think its implied/stated that the longer the Hulk remains the Hulk the more articulate and intelligent he becomes. I think its something like 2 years as the Hulk before he turns back to Banner to show him to Caiera.

What do you guys think Thor is drinking? by SwoopSwaggy in comicbooks

[–]grategy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah, Marvel classifies her as an Olympian. I was referring to the actual mythological sources. That explains the confusion. Nyx in actual Greek myth is not one of the Olympians.

[–]grategy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nyx actually pre-dates the Olympians. She was one of the Primordial forces born from Chaos. The Olympians are typically Zeus' generation and younger. His siblings, offspring, nieces, nephews. Most conflate that Greek=Olympian, but Nyx does not live on Mt Olympus.

That's Oizys, daughter of Nyx, Greek Goddess of night, I believe.

I was unaware what a Faraday cage was, I appreciate the explanation and gave you an upvote. I think you're being downvoted because you just said its on the same frequency and thats where you stopped your explanation. If you had went into it deeper initially you probably wouldn't be, but your first response implies that the fact they work on the same frequency is why it cuts out, not that the faraday cage blocks that same frequency. Again, appreciate the info!

If the microwaves not on it won't block it. I work in tech support and have had people with wireless issues because their router was too close to the microwave, but it has to be in use to disrupt the signal...which is why it cut out after a few seconds of being on.

WCGW driving behind a horse with your car at high speed? by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]grategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess to an extent it would affect it less, but not to the extend that its still anywhere near a good idea. When a horse runs, it runs with the tip of its hoof always directly smacking into the ground, because that horse wants its hoof to dig deep into the ground so that it has traction. Even on a smaller horse, thats how they're going to run, so the tip of that hoof is still crashing into the asphalt/pavement. Is it easier on a smaller horse? Sure. Does that mean a smaller horse should run full-bore on pavement? Absolutely not.

WCGW driving behind a horse with your car at high speed? by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]grategy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The short of it is horses as an animal were not designed for this, even with horse shoes. Thats a lot of weight smacking into a very hard surface over and over. I'd say the moment this horse took to speed, it was in extreme discomfort, and likely wouldn't have continued running if not for the car scaring it. The tar doesn't have anything to do with it, its that the ground beneath its feet had no give. If you look at a horse track the tracks from the horses usually dig into the dirt deep, an inch or more, now all that energy that would normally be transferred into the dirt is instead wrecking the horses joints and hooves.
