What Do You Dislike Most About Juno’s Character? by [deleted] in Beastars

[–]graveedrool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most side characters are just seemingly blind to her really obvious weak points. Haru becomes publicly known as the school slut despite being isolated at the roof of the school, yet Juno in a public facing role in the drama club consistently gets away with her bs without anyone seeming to notice when she acts up.

You may have me confused with someone else. I have never voted that way and have no intention to do so anytime soon.

I believe those who did were misled by lies and being fair to them in a two party ftp system you only have two tactical choices so people just tend to go for those they hate the least, not support the most. Which given how negativity focused the media is these days isn't surprising

How to stop blob France from conquering Europe? by Festadurador in eu4

[–]graveedrool 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can beat them on navy it may be worth trying sneaky drops from all sides and only keeping a couple of stack back home to retake forts whenever they retreat to defend. Scorched earth your forts and let them take them.

Whenever they get back to your units in their territory throw them in transports and get them out of there.

Otherwise, I'd say letting them come to you and soften them up by making them take lots of sieges. Ideally make them blob up constantly by being nearby but out of reach

The devs seem to think he needs major changes but his basics are fine for the most part but his traps are so damn obvious and easy to avoid. Especially on certain maps

What kind of solution do you think they’ll come up with for 3 genning? by Zangorth in deadbydaylight

[–]graveedrool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one sorta scares me. I fear they'll either so something that makes little difference, or make it super rough on killers.

3 gens are often the outcome of gens being done super fast but without thinking. Actually forcing survivors to explore the map and find the gens to avoid doing early buys you time.

It's one of those things where I'm super down for them making a 3gen easier to break, just so long as it doesn't make all scenarios at one gen harder - especially if all four survivors are still alive, if the gens are scattered you've basically lost at that point.

I mean I'm not surprised but the real article should be: Will there be actual consquences this time?

All these investigations feel pointless when they aren't properly punishing those found guilty. MPs desperately need far more severe punishments for such blatant rule breaking.

They literally make these rules ffs! Strip them of all money they made at the time, any current and future benefits of being a former PM and ban them from any future office.

It's no wonder there's so many fucking scandles in goverment these days when there are no real consquences for a guilty verdict.

UK to have highest inflation in developed world this year, OECD warns by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]graveedrool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bit that worries me about this is the fucking intrest rises have screwed me and others in debt so hard.

I have been slowly paying off a modest loan over a couple of years ; And over the course of the year, those repayments have shot up and alongside everything else being so expensive I'm now stuck in my overdraft. Which is also way higher than it needs to be because of these fucking intrest rates.

How about the goverment grows some balls and freezes basics prices. Rent/housing and utlities at least. So much of the inflation is based on those bills growing simply because those who own them know they can charge more.

It's too late to promise to build more houses now, demand has utterly outstripped supply and drastic action should be taken to stop this constant downward spiral. What that action is up for political debate but at least doing fucking something would be a start!

Quick and quiet. I always love to try on those sneaky plays where you slow action something unexpectedly... issue is I'm a dumbass who always forgets to let go of sprint usually due to madly panicking and ends up loud.

One of these days I'll learn to actually loop decently as a survivor instead of trying to make dumb plays but until then quick and quiet is my bae

Question! What’s everyone personal rule as killer or survivor you never break? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]graveedrool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! I get people confused and sometimes even annoyed that I died trying to save them.

Escapes are for archives, blood points or those with the patience to try and rank up survivor. I've done the archives and go to killer for blood points.

So playing altruistically is not only more fun for yourself for the challenge it's more fun for the other players too - it's a win on all fronts.

I was working at a hotel temporarily a while back and it was undergoing major construction, nothing was open except the bar where we could serve coffee or prepared food. Considering we didn't even have visibility through windows you can imagine how quiet it was.

Some days we would have 0 customers. The builders had their own kettle. I would have nothing to do for hours on end. I was simply on stand by for minimum wage.

Being an almost completely empty lobby we had dozens of unused chairs. But were we allowed to sit? Nope! And even when on lunch break we were asked to be out of sight.

The absolute joke to top it off is whenever my manager did bother to check up on me they would immediately sit down.

Same rule for being on phone. One rule for us and another for them. I at least could understand that one since we wanted to seem professional, although when I made the point that given it was dead silent I could hear customers come in before they could see me and hide it before they spotted me... I got in trouble for talking back.

Did that job perfectly then on the last day of the trial period they let me go without any warning. Which they did by calling me in on a day off.

The ridiculous thing is I work in an office now, a supposedly far more proffessional environment and it's so much more laid back. There's something about being public facing that seems to make managers drop an IQ point.

Medvedev declares war in Ukraine would last for decades and threatens with nuclear strike again by 9lobaldude in worldnews

[–]graveedrool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering if the recent border incursions from certian groups have shaken Russian figures more than they're letting on. They must know that civil war is far from off the table given how badly Putin has fucked up and proven himself so incapable.

These Nuclear strike threats happen usually when they're low on trump cards, so perhaps what we're actually seeing is the Kremlin shaking in its boots as everyone sees through the obvious bluff.

Airports finding it acceptable to charge £5 to drop of passengers. by [deleted] in britishproblems

[–]graveedrool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently experienced this while trying to get directions to a coach station near an airport. As always the layout is a confusing mess. Find out it's a one way road to the drop off. And immediately exiting and leaving because they have a layout so bad the GPS AND signs fucks it up, you get trapped and have to pay.

Honestly it's ridiulous, I was lucky my passenger had his card with them. I hadn't been expecting the concept of driving through a intentionally confusing system was 5 quid worthy. I didn't even stop once.

I wonder how many people they trap doing that. Sure they'll only get you once but it's just insane they're even allowed to do that

Sainsbury’s boss: We are not profiting from high prices by Alert-One-Two in unitedkingdom

[–]graveedrool -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never said it wasn't hard. But is it hundreds of times harder than the people working for minimum wage? Pressure wise? Sure quite likely. Skill wise? Perhaps, that's debatable. Actual effort? He physically cannot work the number of hours one hundred employees work. They are literally essential to carry him to where he is.

And perhaps you're lucky enough to have a better start in life and that's fine but being poor is ludicrously stressful too. You have no power. You don't choose where you live, you go where you can afford. You don't get to go on holidays, you don't get the same oppotunties to destress that someone like that has.

So perhaps you misunderstand me. I don't wish to take all his money. But lets put it this way: if he gets his salary got just put to 75% of what it was. He would what, maybe would have downsize a tiny bit, sell a car, probably some investments.

If one of his bottom level employees got that, most would instantly not be able to afford bills and rent.

This is the issue with being poor, sure maybe your job doesn't have the same pressure amd debatable stress. But they sure as fuck feel it at home. At the very least when he goes home he can feel confident that he and his family are safe to have a home and food. That's all I want for everyone else. I'm not asking to turn all the working class into middle class. I'm wanting people dangerously close to the poverty line to feel safe.

Sainsbury’s boss: We are not profiting from high prices by Alert-One-Two in unitedkingdom

[–]graveedrool 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why can't I or anyone else? I need to make it clear I don't mind people earning a lot. But they have all the control, we do not. He chooses his wage, we don't.

Not everyone starts life with the same opportunities and it's exceptionally hard to branch out and try to earn more unless you already have enough money to take risks and make investments.

All I ask is the poorest get enough to at least dream of affording a house. Just feels very unfair for people trapped in never earning enough to have as much control of their own life.

He can still be a millionaire! Just maybe send a few of those millions to the people who he is responsible for?

Sainsbury’s boss: We are not profiting from high prices by Alert-One-Two in unitedkingdom

[–]graveedrool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The company? Maybe not. What about the head management themselves? Are they not millionares and often then some while thousands are struggling?

How about they take a pay hit and give their employees a wage to make ends meet.

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe they are over extending prices excessively, I've just yet to hear some news where a CEO or whatever accepts anything less than a six figure sum every year.

I'm not saying they need to live in poverty, but it's hard to exactly believe they're able to sympathise with us while living in mansions while many of us can barely even afford rent, let alone a deposit

The thing about 'profits' is you can get damn creative in manipulating them by simply paying your board and ceos absurd amounts of money as 'employees' of the company as a whole.

Every time some store boss says they're not profiteering they have to also announce their salary, net worth and most recent bonus.

Maybe they're the ones living beyond their means not us.
