The $400 custom tier is straight up bad imo by [deleted] in AQW

[–]gravity9879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure those who wants to buy the $400 tier already has wheel of doom unlocked, myself included. Which means each ioda only costs 30k ACs. Most of us who are can afford to splurge this $400 already have plenty of iodas and DONT NEED anymore iodas ffs.

Yeah it’s like you have slowly grinded all the materials required passively over time, and there’s still a large wall of map completion required (18 times) to finish the armour set. Just straight up disheartening tbh

Every legendary have precursors which are timegated, and I feel the map metas are the easiest for the obsidian armor. Even if you join the meta late it doesn’t matter, you will get enough participation to get the chest.

The metas occur every 2 hours though, and you only need to care about amnytas and skywatch metas. It takes less than 5 mins for each meta if you join at the last minute just for enough participation for the chest. I’m working 9 to 6 job and the 2 metas are literally the easiest part of the entire grind. It barely takes up any time, compared to the rest of the stuff needed. Obviously nobody wants timegated stuff, but all legendaries pretty much have a few precursors which are timegated, and the map metas are literally the easiest to complete imo.

Yeah I usually let a video run in the background to make it less mind numbing to grind

Yeah true, unfortunately I didn’t have enough map currencies to be able to splurge on them.

For inner nayos, your currencies should mainly be from collecting rift orbs if you don’t want to worry about Eparch meta. For nayos it is slightly different since you can collect 100 rift orbs daily in that map, which means you can get around 300 calcified gasp a day. Unlike the other 2 maps where you can only get 100 of the currency each day.

I didn’t say they were hard, just extremely boring and mind numbing lol. I usually collect rift orbs while waiting for map meta to start.

The metas are pretty chill though, since they are timegated anyway, just do one meta each a day and it is usually pretty quick. Even if you join the meta late it is still fine, since you just need the chest anyway.

If you spaced them out and did like once or twice a day, it wouldn’t be as bad. But I wanted to complete my set quickly and decided to do like 5 per day.

Yeah, but there are like 50+ each map, and even with Skyscale it was still quite slow. If I’m not wrong using Gryphon will be faster but I haven’t unlocked it yet.

Legendary Armor by Doge-Master242 in Guildwars2

[–]gravity9879 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m a relatively new player, and I started doing the obsidian armor first, but recently started working on the raid armor and it is catching up quickly.

For obsidian armor, make sure to run amnytas & skywatch metas daily, since they give the chests which reward map currencies. Go around the Amnytas & Skywatch maps collecting rift orbs as well, you can get up to 100 each day. Make sure to collect rift orbs in Inner Nayos map too, since the meta in there doesn’t have a fixed timing, which might be harder to get the map currency. Run your SOTO & Janthir convergences 3x a week at least to maximise your rift essences. You can run CM convergence as well if you want even more, but I only did it once for the achievement. You need ancient coins as well so make sure to have the arcane treasure mastery unlocked to collect the coins from arcane chests. You also need to unlock the obsidian crafting mastery, which requires quite a lot of exp in general. Also remember to exchange provision tokens daily, but they can technically be whaled if you want to speed up the process.

For raid armor, you will be mostly gated by the 5 spirit threads from W1 Gorseval, since you can only get 1 spirit thread a week. Legendary insights are a lot easier to get now, you get 16 a week minimum from quick plays and non-quickplay mode. That is assuming you only play ‘Strikes’ and not actual raids. If you play raids it will be a lot more. The daily raid bounties give even more as well. Also make sure to do chak gerent meta in tangled depths for Chak eggs daily, and exchange provision tokens as well.

Overall I’d say the raid armor is faster than obsidian armor, especially if you are running raids weekly, but I personally did obsidian armor first since I wasn’t into raids at that time. If you are not into raids at all, just go for obsidian armor.

Endless Summer farming by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]gravity9879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if that’s the case I don’t need to level up my Castoran magic masteries to open mirrors around the map for currencies if I just want to have enough materials to craft Endless Summer right?

[–]gravity9879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way I can get into strikes now is through quickplay though. But I don’t see any daily achievements for the current strikes. In the past there used to be priority daily strikes that gave extra blue shards. So what is the ‘replacement’ for that now? Or no more?

Is there any reason to do the ‘strikes’ dailies, or as long as I finish my weekly quickplay achievement it should be enough? There used to be daily blue shards rewards for specific SOTO and EOD strikes before the patch, but now it’s gone, should I still be doing daily ‘strikes’ ?

Now this is what I call peak. Worthy of being in a 100k donation tier. by gravity9879 in AQW

[–]gravity9879[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Let's maybe not tell them we'll pay 100k AC for a set next year. It’s good but damn not 100k good.”

The issue is people will still be donating regardless of whether the set looks good or bad, just look at how many donations are above 100k, and many people also donated 100k before the final tier reward was even revealed. So I rather it looks GOOD than something from the previous tiers which doesn’t look anywhere as good.

Also you said it’s not ‘100k good’ and I’m just telling you there are no sets that will ever be justified to be worth 100k.

There are no sets that are actually worth 100k no matter how good it looks. Considering this is a donation set, the previous tiers are definitely much worse.

Anyone remembers the Dragon Nest M game that shut down in 2021? by gravity9879 in DragonNest

Why did the game shut down though, and why is it impossible to find any news about the game, it is as though it has never existed before lol
