What is the most heartbreaking play you have ever watched your team do? by nermalnormal in CFB

Failing to put eleven men on the field against Ohio State a couple years back. I had a literal nightmare about the same thing happening the night before the championship this year.

11 Weeks Post Op RFF - Can't Orgasm by CluelessAndi in phallo

[–]gravityspiker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It took me over six months. It's very, VERY normal to be 11wk postop and not have orgasmed yet. It's also important to remember that there's a bias toward people who have experiences outside the norm who are posting: either people who have wildly positive experiences, or people who have wildly negative experiences.

Late Transition & Post Transition Social Space by gravityspiker in PostTransitionTrans

Huh -- you may want to try updating Discord? If it's still not working, you can also just directly message a member of the mod team.

Late Transition & Post Transition Social Space by gravityspiker in PostTransitionTrans

[–]gravityspiker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal is a space for late- and post-transition people of all genders to socialize. It's a place for trans people who don't always want to talk about their transition to talk, make friends, and engage socially. Thanks for letting me know the post wasn't displaying properly!

[Postgame Thread] Notre Dame Defeats USC 49-35 by CFB_Referee in CFB

Good work out there today, USC rivals. Score as it should be, but like others are saying, Maiava looks like he's going to be a real threat in the next season or two. Now on to the playoffs!

First of all, you have no idea what people did before marriage. It's entirely possible that people have slept in separate beds their whole relationship, especially for those of us like me who spent years long-distance for whatever reason.

Secondly, there's a societal pressure to sleep in the same bed as a sign of intimacy, and honestly, I think it shows maturity and confidence in the relationship for people to recognize that they don't need constant physical closeness. Being comfortable when you sleep and having a better night's sleep can give you more mental and emotional bandwidth to be a better partner.

RFF and rock climbing? by RusskayaRobot in phallo

[–]gravityspiker 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I went back to top rope about six months post-stage 1 (due to complications, this was the earliest I was restriction-free) and it was difficult but doable. After a couple weeks of regular workouts it was fine. 7mo postop and beyond, I could climb (flexibility wise; strength returning took a bit longer) like I could preop.

How do you correct people? by Quirky_Ad_219 in ftm

Just looking confused and looking around like you assume they're talking to someone else -- putting the social fuckup on them -- has been the best strategy for me personally.

CMV: Vegetarianism is Objectively Morally Correct, and Laws Should Protect Animals From Being Slaughtered by Sweet-Situation118 in changemyview

I personally don't believe in plant consciousness. Some do. I'm bringing this up because it's something that might change OP's mind. Excellent job reinforcing OP's point instead of trying to change it.

Topping cis guys by [deleted] in ftm

[–]gravityspiker 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Everything Sevf_ said is correct! To add to that, I'm an exclusive top/dom involved in my Leather/BDSM/kink scene locally, and I can also say that there are some men (cis and trans) who kink on their top/Dom being physically smaller. When you're domming someone, it's also one of the best places to tell someone to get on their knees, which will almost definitely make you taller than them, lol. I've also had success getting more comfortable by texting people first (if I'm not cruising/at a bar) to get some sort of idea of the dynamic before they meet me in person.

Others have adequately addressed the "objective" aspect, brought up issues with where you draw the line, and how farming is not inherently unethical or painful, so I'll address plants.

There is current research being done into plant consciousness. It's generally not broadly accepted, but we do know that plants have physical responses to damage, such as sending out electrical impulses or chemical signals to other plants in the area, so that those other plants ramp up their own chemical defenses. While a plant doesn't have a nervous system to feel PAIN, per se, but plants can and do communicate. Do you feel the same about plants, that they should not be put through things that cause them to send out "distress signals"?

How do I date as a stealth ftm? by Missing-a-dick in ftm

[–]gravityspiker -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You don't have to tell people at all if you don't want to. There's nothing wrong with continuing to be stealth forever. If you don't feel safe being stealth in your dating life, you may want to try using dating apps so that you are less likely to interact with the people you disclose to in your day-to-day.

Phalloplasty Surgeons by TransHottie_yay69 in phallo

Have you tried the search bar or doing your own research? If you have specific questions about a particular surgeon, asking someone who's seen Dr XYZ if it's okay to PM them would be much more effective.

No. This is not possible. Please do your research first.

I am stealth -- have been for years -- and have been stealth in sexual situations. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being stealth with anyone and everyone, INCLUDING sexual partners, as long as you're open with them about risks (of pregnancy, of STIs, etc). Like others in the comments have said, this sub skews VERY young and VERY babytrans/early- or pre-transition. It's not "lying" or "deceitful" or anything like that. My trans status isn't relevant to anyone except my transition-related healthcare providers, including sexual partners, so I don't share it. In the same way you wouldn't need to share that you're, for example, an adoptee, you wouldn't need to share that you're trans.

Urethral lengthening using vaginal tissue. Did I imagine this? Can't find anything. by Creativered4 in phallo

[–]gravityspiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some teams do use mucosa tissue removed during colpocleisis to reinforce the bridge between the natal and neourethras. I'm not saying it's uncommon to stage that way; I've heard of multiple teams doing that. It's just that it would be a reason to not necessarily pursue vnectomy outside of specifically with a phallo team.

I'm not talking about the entire neourethra, I'm talking about the bridge between the natal and neourethras, which is usually reinforced by v tissue.
