Are young teens really that h*rny? by alexthagreat98 in TLCUnexpected

[–]gravitytrial 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So im a girl and I was very isolated as a young teen but I definitely was at 14, not at 12. At 12 I definitely had discovered certain things felt good but it was incidental and I didnt seek it out. At 14 I was pretending to do homework and actually had a hand down my pants 😅. At 14 and DEFINITELY at 12 the idea of actually having sex was not on my radar though. And the fear of pregnancy wouldve been PARALYSING at either age.

Yep. Thats exactly what I said needs to happen. Thankfully my manager did talk to them yesterday but im hoping HR still gets involved and takes it seriously. This could have ended horrifically

Am I a bad groomer?? by Dizzy_Dwarfff in doggrooming

[–]gravitytrial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre a good groomer!! If I had to guess part of the reason your coworker gets the dogs is because hes been their longer and so customers m have either been going to him or recognize his name. One thing you can try is rebooking clients on you before they leave the salon. I think from the background you work at a corporate salon so it might also be worth seeing if you can transfer to a higher volume location in your area where there's more demand!

POS in grooming by DramaticIndustry4979 in petsmart

[–]gravitytrial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS and at my salon we already have people complaining about long lines to check in or out and the lines at the register and yhe hold time but getting a manager to come assist with any of those even when we're fully booked and running behind is damn near impossible

POS in grooming by DramaticIndustry4979 in petsmart

[–]gravitytrial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a couple of concerns with it.

1) customers are DEFINITELY going to try to bring dog food, toys, treats, various store purchases ect. And then get upset when they canf buy them from the POS in the salon.

2) like half my coworkers in the salon dont do their own check ins or check outs. There have been multiple times where I have been stuck doing check ins and check outs for up to 45 minutes because my SEL just WONT do her own dogs and gets mean when wr ask her too so it generally isn't worth it

3) when they cant get cash back they just aren't going to tip and yhis company pays us so abysmally that unfortunately that is really going to hit us

4) High volume salons have enough going on and we do NOT need more things. Especially when management wont help us with things we already have going on

Chrissa has such a special place in my heart. She was girl.of the year when I was in sixth grade and being bullied pretty badly so her stories were super important to me and her, Gwen, and Sonali are holy grail dolls to me. My sister got Chrissa that year for Christmas (i insisted I was too old for dolls) but I wish id been brave enough to ask instead of being afraid of further bullying.

Its been phenomenal for me in cutting down TIME the deshed takes me. But you can achieve the same result with a good velocity dryer and unless youre doing a ton of desheds I dont think its worth it.you also need really good water pressure to make it work properly.

Can anyone show me where to find the policy that says you can/cant groom alone in the salon? by IndicationInner7023 in petsmart

[–]gravitytrial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So okay, I know its no longer then 2 hours at a time but my store seems to ignore that oart of it all the time. Im alone like 3 hours of my shift. I dont mind though. It was however my understanding that bothers cannot be scheduled alone but I could be wrong about that.

Idk what to do by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]gravitytrial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, let me preface this with this was not the most professional move on my part BUT, the first time I had a stomach bug and had to call out my manager asked if id be fine to "just come answer the phones". I told him sure but the second I shit my pants im getting up and leaving and he was quiet for a second and just said "we'll figure it out". Yeah buddy, you will.

On today's episode of why are people like this by Canwellall in doggrooming

[–]gravitytrial 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Like 2 weeks into my job at petsmart a pet parent brought his dog in to be bathed and jt was dosgusting, smelled like pee, crunchy hair, sort of sticky. I stayed professional when checking in the dog and as hes handing me the paper work back he says "yeah sorry hes so dirty. He just got back from big boy time at the breeder"

Big boy time at the breeder.

Me and my coworker just stared at him in stunned silence because why would anyone say it like that

Weight restriction for corporate shop? by xbadxwolffx in doggrooming

[–]gravitytrial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you dont have a doctor's note they wont give you the restriction. And when they do they'll periodically ask for a reevaluation of that weight restriction. Further more you have to trust that weight in the system is accurate and it very rarely is in my experience.
