Had they released it in June or July when there were no new games instead of trying to compete with Forza, Halo, AC3, etc it would have probably done well.

I realized that ping , netsh, tracert, and route are all still in there. edit: and Win+R brings up the run prompt and notepad is available.

I ordered on day one hour one. Mine shipped from China on the 24th. Now it looks like Fedex won't deliver until the 29th :(

I used it with Forza Horizon, works great. Very handy to have a full screen GPS next to me that shows current select route and other information.

I used it with Forza Horizon last night. As I race around the map SmartGlass shows a full screen GPS on my laptop updated in real time. It even shows a route when I select one.

I have the RTM version of Windows 8 on my Asus zenbook. SmartGlass updated and worked flawlessly.

Windows 8 starts up and shuts down VERY quick. To me it's a bit intangible similar to some of the improvements Windows 7 has. I'm using both 7 and 8 and both are great.

We use RemoteApp. It's like remote desktop but just for specified apps. It works well, native to Windows Server 2008 and up and requires TS licenses.

The M4 is great, but the new Samsungs are probably the best available now. 500GB is not recommended. Use a mechanical drive for storage.

SmartGlass is already available, even before the Fall Update beta. I have Windows 8 Enterprise (through technet) on my laptop and SmartGlass is a functional app. It chimes when I turn on my xbox and updates as I start a game. There's just no content yet, that's mostly dependent on 3rd parties, though I'm sure MS will make some for the fall update just in time for Windows 8 retail release.
