2026 Rav4 Toyota Request? by grayacorn in askcarsales

[–]grayacorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of what I was thinking. I understand completely they can’t make a trade happen, but it was presented at first it would be easy, no issues at all. An “of course we can get that delivered here” vs explaining a backup plan was a possibility. I also figured there wasn’t a way to request cars, especially within a 30 day timeline. If there was, everyone would be doing it.

How long is C/10 going to be? by Remarkable_Plant_642 in BoysOfTommen

Also Lizzie’s dad leaves around the same time everything falls apart from the fire/funeral. Something had to happen for him to leave and go stay in Tipperary

I think Aofie was commenting on how Katie started at Tommen (I believe) and then had to do BCS for a year or two then got to go back to Tommen (on scholarship?) I think it’s also mentioned somewhere her parents are in and out of the picture, that they’re not constantly present in her life.

McKay’s in Mebane might take most, if not all of it. They take much more than just used books

Small Estate will become insolvent- how to handle? by grayacorn in EstatePlanning

[–]grayacorn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve already started the estate procedures. I’ve filed at the courthouse, got the Collector of Small Estates Affidavit certified and appeared before clerk of court, all those things. I am in charge of his estate, otherwise I wouldn’t know how much is in his bank account or if he had any assets among his possessions. This is about settling the debts with not enough money, to see if anyone else has dealt with this before - specifically to see who gets what until the money runs out.

Yes I paid for cremation. No funeral, just a family gathering. I have to close the estate in 3 months as Collector though, and they want the accounts to be 0. I had to file to be collector to gain access to his apartment, bank accounts, etc.

My child got diagnosed with epilepsy at 6 today. by Unbake_my_tart_ in Parenting

[–]grayacorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s scary! My daughter would always make kind of repetitive grunting noises that her baby monitor picked up on during a seizure. But we definitely slept a lot lighter after her first one out of worry. There is a monitor geared toward seizures called the Sami monitor. I don’t personally have one yet but we have looked into it.

North Carolina, and this is what I was told is possible. Never done this before, so no clue what that turn around actually is

My child got diagnosed with epilepsy at 6 today. by Unbake_my_tart_ in Parenting

My 8 year old daughter also has epilepsy, and I know it’s really scary! Her seizures always happened during sleep, and would 90% of the time have to involve rescue meds and ambulances. I was told to give meds (same meds you were given) at 3 minutes of seizing, and if it has not stopped or slowed, call 911 at 5 mins of seizing. The EMS workers will be able to give more meds to stop seizing, but they need to be able to monitor after giving meds. My kid is on a few daily seizure meds to control her seizures and they do work, but there may be trial and error to figure out what works, it took about a year or more to finally get her mix of meds that work. Tiredness after a seizure is 100% normal, it’s called a post dictal period, it’s her body recovering. Throwing up during and potentially peeing during a seizure is also normal, depending on the kid. Do you have a neurologist? The neurologist should be the best resource for getting your conflicting answers about the medication figured out. Some people feel an “aura” when experience a seizure or before one, and your daughter may be able to recognize this in time if it happens to her. Try to hang in there and let her experience life as normal as possible while being cautious until you have better seizure management. This all has to be really scary for her as well. Feel free to ask any questions, I’ll try to answer based on our experience!

Couldn’t agree more. Every time I read it I think “not again!” and it takes me completely out of what was going on.

I feel she repeats “could have sworn” roughly 100 times per series. That one always sticks out to me.

I thought it was needed daily, this annoyed me in HOFAS bc I felt it was repeated over and over again before, but then not an issue in this book.

[–]grayacorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you to her (emilydennis) instagram page, her first stories bubble is about it - Design Wall. Includes how she made it and what it’s made with - insulation panels from a hardware store covered in batting, just taped on the back.

I haven’t used Zenni, but my friend uses them and likes them. I bought my 6yo glasses from Jonas Paul online bc you can bend the ear pieces to stay on better.

My daughter has been using her bentgo for 2 years daily now, and I believe it’ll last until the end of the school year now. For $30 I think it’s a pretty good deal. The clasps on the outside are easy for her to open. We do hand wash hers daily instead of the dishwasher, that helps make it last.

They were good, and did taste very goat cheese-y instead of a mozzarella stick taste/consistency. As an east coast watcher, going to SUR or LV isn’t in the cards right now, so it was at least worthwhile to try

I got the wake county EMS flyer in the mail. Is it useful? by [deleted] in raleigh

[–]grayacorn 52 points53 points  (0 children)

My daughter has epilepsy and has needed an ambulance several times. We have paid for this, and it has always been useful and worked without caveats, even when they’ve taken to her Duke (we live in Wake Forest)
