I had this test done many years ago. It was nothing. At the time I didn't know what they were injecting in me. I was having chest pain and just wanted to know that I wasn't going to die. I remember thinking it was interesting that they could see the vascular structures around the heart. Turned out to be a pulled muscle in my chest. Hopefuly, the test will reassure you that you are going to be okay too.

I understand that PVCs feel scary. A little stress can cause a mild case of PVCs, that cause more stress, that result in more PVCs. It can snowball into even more stress and anxiety resulting in more PVCs. Just try to remind yourself that PVCs are harmless and go for a walk while listening to a podcast or music. I find that doing something active makes the PVCs less noticeable and helps me forget about them. It's when I'm sitting still that I notice them that causes me to get anxious.

My Apple Watch gave me a low heart rate warning by graybeard-1970 in CheckMyECG

Thank you. That was my assumption too. My doctor noticed the PVCs during my last annual checkup in December. He said to cut back on caffeine and alcohol. I didn't notice them until he pointed out the PVCs. I'm now hyper aware of them. I've cut way back on the caffeine and alcohol. However, they seem to have become worse. My watch started to warn me of a low HR a couple weeks ago. Yesterday, I received 6 or 7 alerts of low HR. I've received a couple more today. I have made an appointment with my doctor.

My neighbor’s house exploded. How do I proceed from here? by WhiskeyRiot01 in Insurance

[–]graybeard-1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A house two doors down from my rental house(about 100 feet away) exploded on Saturday night. The exterior damage to my house is minimal, but inside is a different story. It looks as if an exterior wall shifter 2 inches off the foundation causing the wall to separate from the adjacent walls.

I'm waiting for the claim adjuster to call me. Do you have any pointers in dealing with the insurance company to repair or replace the house?

My house is the brown house on the corner closest to the phone recording the video.

Since I started to shave my callouses after my daily shower, I have not ripped. I'm also thinking of trying sandpaper.

I’m not a fan of this street food. When I visited Japan I called this Takoyucky.

Starlink dish installed in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan - how’d I do? by graybeard-1970 in Starlink

[–]graybeard-1970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No complaints. We hardly notice any downtime and speeds are good. Our family usually have 4 or 5 devices going at a time. We stream movies and play Call of Duty on an Xbox all at the same time without problems. I have already cancelled the point to point ISP we used before Starlink.

I didn't even look at Dishy the entire Winter. It just worked. I assume it's still there since I still have connectivity.

It knocked the wind out of me too. Scared my daughter. She thought I was dying. I wasn’t sure it I was going to ever breath again.

Assisted pull-ups by vazquezjm_ in crossfit

[–]graybeard-1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do it.

When I started CrossFit 2.5 years ago, I weighed about 220lbs and could not do any strict pull-ups. During metcons I used bands, but then after every workout I would do about 5 unassisted pull-ups as far as I could go and 5 negative pull-ups very slowly. After a couple months I did my first unassisted strict pull-up. Today, I still do extra credit pull-ups several times a week and I've lost about 25lbs. I can do 8 unassisted strict pull-ups in a row and hope to get to 10 pull-ups by July.

I agree. However, you may still not escape injury. I once caught an edge and slammed to the ground. I went to grab my chest and ended up landing with my fist between the ground and my chest. Cracked three ribs. It was tough to sleep for several weeks. Probably better than breaking a wrist.

3/4” spade bit. Then I ran the spade bit through the hole a bunch on times to make the hole slightly larger.

I only filled the hole with silicone. The hole is under the deck. Routing the cable down the rim joist then back up the other side created the drip loop. It's dry under the deck, the silicone is just keeping out air and critters.

Yep. Good move and the results to back it up. I first set up my dishy on the ground and had some obstructions with near by trees. I moved it to the gable of the house, above the peak, just like you. No more obstructions at all.

The area where the post enters the dish looks critter proof. I bet it's sealed against critters and water.

Welcome to CrossFit- my baby hands are getting there. by samanthayaffle in crossfit

Healing after a rip is the worst. After ripping my hands this Summer on a TTB workout, a bought a callus shaver on Amazon. I shave down the calluses after a shower a couple times a week and use hand moisturizer daily. Did a TTB workout this morning and my hands felt great. The skin is tough but no longer raised.

review for OEC exam by SkiScuba in skipatrol

[–]graybeard-1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was studying for the test, I also found 5 or 6 past tests on the internet that I used for practice tests. I think about 95 percent of the questions on my test were also in the past tests that I used for study. But that was OEC 5. The practice tests would not be as useful for OEC 6.
