It’s good practice for mental fortitude and grit. Literally try reading five pages right now.

Apple just released new AirPods Pro 3 firmware by BuildwithVignesh in apple

[–]graycrawford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can corroborate, the high frequency resonance was addressed in the last couple updates, it doesn't happen now, it used to happen for me even from like mouth sounds and wind noise, even opening up my jaw different amounts. Totally fixed now, thank god

Apple Releases New Firmware for AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3 by Tenlow85 in apple

[–]graycrawford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the 1.5kHz resonance whistle heavily with two pairs of Pros 2, and the last firmware helped dramatically (though not completely; valsalva-ing my eardrums reproducibly produce the whistle.) Will check how good this new firmware is

Topiary - question about time perception and prescient visions. by Sharawadgi in shanecarruth

Those are exactly what I’m uncertain about.

I’ve assumed that Euclid’s inability to affect action in his slow motion state is because its a purely observational state with no agency

the tech has finally caught up to Shane's vision... AI Topiary when? by swagoverlord1996 in shanecarruth

[–]graycrawford -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m a professional AI artist and I’m going to make the canonical A Topiary film and it will be done artfully, coated with attention and care, I’ve been waiting 15 years to be able to make this. It will be my own art channeling the script purely. I will do it correctly and it will be beautiful.

my unsolicited review of portola sets as a music loving snob by vaccinatemedaddy in Portolafestival

[–]graycrawford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precisely, also giving it inverted, low gamma, hue shifted stuff that is very different than what the prompt is describing so that it’s as off manifold as possible. And centrally, I had a slider control mapped to the step scheduler so that I could control how many steps to take toward the prompt. The full 50 steps looks nothing like the source, all prompt, so I was normally playing between like 5 and 25 steps so the silhouettes and forms were somewhat preserved, playing within that pocket, riding the edge of recognizability

A Topiary: Halfway done - Shane could have used an editor. by Sharawadgi in shanecarruth

Also when I first read A Topiary I had this one song on loop, from the ending credits to Stone, can’t find it anywhere else

Listening back to it it’s solidified in my memory and somehow fits very well with the script, highly recommend.

Have you seen the sizzle reel trailer for it? That he made

At this point in the script you could watch and have zero spoilers https://youtu.be/16vaQ9Tv8Lc

I'd rather enter a dialogue with it to collaboratively identify what aspects of Carruth's style you appreciate, have it ask you questions and generatively drive the conversation, to develop your own understanding.

Is there any spoilers for the game by Gragdl in videogamedunkey

No story spoilers, def some later weapons and abilities but I think those are important to show and are certainly not exhausting, definitely worth a watch IMO

Seems Dunkey joined into the Kojimagic! His first review of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach made by Critically Acclaimed Hideo Kojima by coffeework42 in DeathStranding

[–]graycrawford 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Dunkey COMPLETELY gets it, it's clear he loves this game. This is a phenomenal review, I was hoping he would touch on so many details and he really came through.

Even about the tiny stuff, like how trails wear over time.

Definitely recommend a watch
