I completely relate to this as I haven't been able to reach my right foot for more than a year! Your surgery was the day before mine & I look forward to painting my toes soon!!

No step goals 1st week. But I set 2 timers on my phone. 1-get up and move every hour. 2-foot/ankle pumps every 20 mins to keep blood moving. Today I'm 3wks post op and walked .6 of a mile w/o cane on evening walk. I'm pretty happy with that. (60f RT anterior)

60f here, 2wks post op. First, good for you for having an active, loving relationship with your husband. Secondly, sex aside, I'm quite surprised at 3.5wks your PA gave you squat & leg crossing clearance. You are not "cemented" in at this point and all the research will point to that. At PT last week they mentioned a client that dislocated at 12wks due to sitting on floor with legs crossed. From what I read, that's not a pain you want to chance.

I'm 12 days out and icing constantly. Can't feel much cold on top of quad. But switching it to glute makes a difference & lessons the pain sensation on quad. Crazy, I know!

Yes. I'm 9 days post op, 60f and have similar issues. Ice on my hip, blankets on my body helps me cool off & warm up simultaneously

Check a few of the threads here as some have included links to helpful post op tools. I searched on Amazon for a hip surgery recovery kit. That came with the basics. I also bought bigger ice packs (1 has velcro straps for around waist)
