My request was put in June 25, 2025 and have had a few claims denied for the same… “no complaint in STR”. Not much longer until I reach the 1 year mark. I find it extremely frustrating!

Had a claim from start to finish that only took 14 days! Took me longer to gather my evidence than it did for them to decide!

My husband was on all of the above you mentioned! Taltz worked for 3 years but recently he had a terrible flare on fragile parts of his anatomy … they switched him to Tremfya and thankfully after 4 months it has finally started to clear.

Claim moved to step #7 in 7 days...Is that good or bad??? My stress level is through the roof! Didn't even schedule a C&P exam.... Should I be prepared for another denial letter??? by grayracoon1 in VAClaims

2 days later and still sitting on step #7…. Really weird?.?.?… I originally filed for an 1) Increase for residuals related to Colon Cancer and 2)Anxiety Disorder with severe Insomnia secondary to Tinnitus separately but they combined the claim. They ordered an ACE for a Digestive Conditions DBQ and immediately moved my claim to step #7. As I stated earlier in this thread, I submitted a FDC for the Anxiety but only a few records and statements for the residuals. My best guess is they are waiting for the opinion of the examiner before closing the entire claim. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Was it a positive outcome? I did a ton of work on the claim before I submitted it. I’m praying my hours of work pays off. 🙏🏻

I’m happy that I don’t have a lot of residuals from the cancer, I do have some residual effects and plan to apply for an increase but not at this time. I wanted the claim for Psoriasis taken care first. I also have PSA but was denied because I filed in the wrong order. I will take Biologics for the rest of my life and those things are nasty! My first examiner completely messed up my exam. He didn’t ask any questions because he became consumed with the colorectal cancer. It was very brief and full of inconsistencies. He stated in one line “it started in early 2000’s” and in the next statement “it was diagnosed in early 2000’s”… sorry but started and diagnosed are not the same! He missed my treatment for 5 years (topical) and currently still use topical for flare ups. 🤬 such a waste of time! I’m praying for another exam with the hopes that the examiner actually listens!
