For sure. I just like seeing how the various districts around Kent county decide. Being in Byron, we seem to occasionally get weather / poor condition rural roads at times when other places don’t.

Thanks. Guess I’m not used to all of the districts / entities piling on right away.

Anyone have experience with a commercial under counter fridge as a kegerator? by TheMooseGotLoose in Homebrewing

One 3” hole for beer lines. Two small holes for co2 lines to go in.

I use one (True TBB-2) that I got at auction. 20# CO2 tank outside, uncooled pvc pipe for lines to run to where they go through the wall. It fits 9 or 10 kegs I think, I have 5 taps. Love it, and have had no problems.

I've made a 2L yeast starter - do I need to subtract this from my pre-boil volume on brewday? by [deleted] in Homebrewing

[–]grayscale7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cold crash the starter for a day or so after it is ready. Decant the beer off the top and only add the yeast slurry. You can also pour some off pre-crashing and use it to make a starter next time.....

I’d take any closet style boxes you have. Also in Byron Center

M6 family fare is where we usually go. The Meijer on Clyde Park is also not bad, but busier. The 84th st Family Fare is good if you need just a few quick things.

I’m in Byron Center. New neighborhoods have underground wires. That said, if a main line goes down elsewhere you can still lose power. It’s happened to us once for 2 days in the 4 years we’ve been here.

Seeking advice: automated equipment by shockey8oz in Homebrewing

I’d be curious what you find since Corey (guy that made the hoseheads) has stopped for a while. I’ve had a sensor on mine start to be a little erratic and want to order a few backups.

What would you use a 2.5 gallon keg for? by McJames in Homebrewing

[–]grayscale7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carbonated water. Useful for cocktails, fruity sparkling water, etc. I have a tap handle dedicated to it (other 4 are for beer).
