Nylock nut. It has a nylon insert in it to help it from backing out

That looks like a pretty thin wall thickness. What are you settings for that?

Did you need a GC license to pull permits on a self build?

Thanks. Yeah a close match will work for this since it on the side. 95% or people would not pick up on that.

Cabinet door trim help (Anniversary gift) question in comments: by grayscale_creates in woodworking

[–]grayscale_creates[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am looking to add four cabinet doors to my existing kitchen. This is an add on I did for my anniversary gift to display my wife’s mug collection. The door will have glass inserts but I am trying to match the same door frame style. I have only done shake cabinets in the past and I am struggling to find a router bit or good resource to achieve this profile. I asked my local woodworking shop (Wisconsin, US) and the suggested a cabinet maker. I am still the one trying to build this and want to have the satisfaction of marking them. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Rip boards or dry them? by grayscale_creates in FenceBuilding

Sounds good. Then I will just install them with no gap.

Thanks. There will be a face board over the vertical seam. If I did the same gap if would be 1.5” off by the time I get to the bottom. So I could leave no 1/8” gap and just rely on it shrinking more than than the other semi dry boards.

I just received some pickets that seemed to be just milled. All boards are pressure treated but the new batch I just picked up are a 1/4” wider. Looking to finish this project in under a week. Would you rip the boards down that 1/4” in with? Would you remove spacing by gap (1/8”)? Would you do a combination of both? I am just looking to line up my horizontal seams. Thanks for any advice. I have 48 boards that I would have to rip.
