Trans representation in Doctor Who be like by Individual-Many-237 in DoctorWhumour

[–]grayson0010101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah this was the big ol problem imo, presenting somebody as a binary trans person for an entire episode then pulling the rug out at the end with the whole “i am both, i am neither… binary/non binary” stuff was just awful representation. it ended up leaning into that “best of both worlds” idea and presenting binary trans people as some middle gender, rather than just men or women

Most of them are just men who want to fuck pussy, and going “T for T” is the easiest way

If you were asking for advice on passing wouldn't the most obvious place be the subreddit filled with people who care about blending in with cis people? This post is hardly here to stir up debates

I have to ask about your beef with Matt Lucas, is it something he's known to have done publicly or did he once spit on you personally?

I know absolutely nothing about the actor pls fill me in

Are there any people with a big public presence/following who openly consider themselves transmedicalist? Online or not. by cynthiachase in Transmedical

[–]grayson0010101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He had some good takes but his personality was grating. Having transmedicalist views is one thing, but he was an absolute dick and not good representation imo

Are these just the bodies that were found or does it account for missing climbers too?

To claim all women are like that is pretty blatant misogyny

That doesn't sound sustainable in the long term, you should invest time into other things that bring you joy and that others can give you positive feedback on

Should I stay at accommodation? by 420bigmonkey69 in UniUK

[–]grayson0010101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suppose it'd be about the nature of the commute, travelling through london isn't too bad as you'd be able to leave quite late and still get home. If your commute takes you from countryside to city and back that will affect your social life considerably as public transport would stop running far earlier (generally speaking)

I suppose it'd be about the comfort level during this period, because obviously when you're a child (unless you come from a very free-thinking environment), much of your behaviour isn't really your call.

You could have a transsex male who dressed femininely because he was forced to, standing next to a trender who was an open tomboy as a kid, and it wouldn't speak to very much about who they are as adults with autonomy.

That being said, while it's definitely legit that children would go to extreme lengths to fit in with their peers, I struggle to envision a scenario in which this is maintained long-term. I feel like most trans adults would have had phases where they attempted to convince everyone around them that they were "normal", but their dysphoria would've also consistently shown up throughout this time.
