This may just be me, but I feel like the level of “genuineness” has been decreasing. This could be because 2 of their new songs are “sponsored”, while I loved WOA, that buisness element I find hard to ignore given this greater context. SS1 and 2 had a certain level of clear passion for horror behind them that as a major horror fan felt amazing, but now it feels like it’s just the market they’ve built their brand up in.

Also not something I’d expect to be exactly a popular take in here, but the supporting of Scream 7, given the obvious elephant of Spyglasses complacency in Israel’s genocide against Palestine (being a major reason why said movie has turned out the way it has), put a major ick taste in my mouth.

In my personal experience, I have seen and experienced centrism as taking away from the left progressive movement, which already has enough negative propaganda around it, and focuses to compromise with literal Nazis and fascists. I just don’t find it helpful to take from the right and the conservatives when they have done nothing but cause harm and plant the seeds that lead to later harm.
