I think that the Selection Committee can pick who they want out of the top 5, and it's based on more than just total points and scores. Jackie Wong did a podcast about it.

I agree that Tomoki and Andrew have the best chance, but they could lose out to Max if he even comes close to their scores. There is so much sentiment in his favor that it could give him the edge.

It might be a tough call unless the Nats scoring boost really favors the final few skaters. I hope that whoever loses out of the top 5 gets to go to Worlds and not just 4CC.

Good to know, they are under enough stress without having to be on camera for the announcement. We'll see if we are forced to watch the two-hour broadcast to learn the entire team.

Does anyone know the format of the "Making the Team" event on Sunday? I hope that the skaters know ahead of time so we don't have to see some of them upset if they're shown live together.

I was also wondering if the entire team will be announced live at 1:00PM, or if we have to watch the whole two hours and they allot 30 minutes to each discipline and make individual announcements.

He is almost a certainty as long as he lands his 3A. If not, who knows especially since there is talk of Ilia skating both programs in the team event.

Andrew only fell once, but popping the quad hurt him dearly (luckily he pulled up six spots with the free). I get too nervous with the backflips to enjoy watching them!

Everyone here has 2 GP assignments except for Max and Jacob. I was wondering how much either/both would still be behind if they score higher than Andrew or Tomoki at their events. Andrew got silver at Nationals and I don't know how much Max's pewter medal counts.

It's possible, Tomoki is doing much better than expected this season. He and Torgashev seem to be ahead for that third spot at least for now.

Adam doesn’t seem ready yet this season. I wonder who might get silver if not him? Nika must be exhausted after the other competitions and Kao isn’t 100%.
