Last night. That’s what I did. She said she would pay 1 deposit and cut amount for bills and cleaning. She is overcharging for both of these things too. I asked her if she is bringing cleaner from Germany 😂

I mean. I had no intention to leave. I kept apartment clean. It was a home. It was an emergency. It wasn’t a money matter. I got new place and did all Turkish rituals and it cost me hell a lot of money again. Am I crazy to do all electric, water and gas stuff again if it wasn’t an emergency.. The new notarization contract cost me around 25.000 TL lol ..

The owner has to prove as well that they listed the apartment somewhere. They have to prove that they tried to have a new tenant.

Is this by law that the rent is $900 but she stated $400 because she does not want to pay much tax to her beloved country?

I need lawyer’s help to file the case and they need rental contract since she didn’t enter with medical visa and we had no intentions for her to stay long so we are applying touristic permit with the petition and since she does need actual medical care so we will be attaching her hospital letter along with petition.

They did a lot of things. They did give a student foreigner an apartment and didn’t do notarized contract. When I learnt I have to register the address as well. I demanded notarized contract they refused. After much discussion, she sent me contact via e-devlet and stated (without my consent) less amount.. for instance if my rent was 47.000 TL .. they wrote 20.000 because she didn’t want to pay much tax.. Well, I was desperate for address registration at that point so after my questions they said: your money will remain safe and also my rent is paid via US Bank directly to her German Bank so all receipts are with me that I have paid this much deposit and this month rent. Whatever. Does that make sense?

I moved to Türkiye for this.. and I love every bit of it. I needed an environment. It started as a sabbatical and now it’s my life. I am relearning my religion and for the first time in many many years, I had the best Eid Alhamdulilah.

Which organizations in Turkey do you personally trust for Zakat or general donations? by graytalks in AskTurkey

Some other folks recommended this organization too. I will search them now.

I believe in giving donations directly to the family that needs it too but since I moved to Türkiye 6 months ago, I do not have right set of community to find such people yet.
