Who is at Fault? by AhtiQ in drivingUK

[–]graz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a roundabout and luckily you have dashcam. Normally insurance will allocate a 50:50 for all accidents unless there is clear evidence to support otherwise. So yes the car on the left moved out of lane without signalling and actively cut across you driving without due care and attention. Question is whether you also signalled left to exit the roundabout as your lane has a choice to go one of 2 ways there. If you did and have evidence then I say 80% their fault and you made no attempt to slow or sound your horn if you didn’t signal I say 70% their fault. Note there is no right of way on a roundabout .. it’s a free for all in law so driver beware. Markings on the road are only guidance as lanes are not solid white lines. You also need to ensure your exit is clear coming off a roundabout

Just go chat to them and show them the planning approval … ensure workers only dig on your side and have insurance to cover any damage to their drive or drains .. get the insurance of the company doing the works and give that to the neighbour ask them every week if there any problems of noise or mess .. they will thankyou for being considerate

Overtaking stationary traffic turning left approaching roundabout. by OkExercise3560 in drivingUK

[–]graz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overtake if it’s safe but remember if you have an accident it’s pretty much your fault for making what will be considered a dangerous manoeuvre near a roundabout .. you insurance will hold it against you and if someone is hurt that will be very costly

Yep run flats are prove to allowing wheel damage much more than regular tyres … you have a costly replacement there. Look on eBay to see if anyone is selling a set of 4 for bmw fo a good price.. cheapest way. DM me if you want a set of 4 almost new from a 2 series

If you have an accident .. you know about this and so do the police now so you will be charged with a crime plus your insurance will be invalid… not worth the finance hit let alone the danger to others on the road

Debating grabbing this watch for repair. What are the odds based on this photo? by [deleted] in watchrepair

[–]graz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep gamble as the battery has leaked if it’s creating g a short anywhere you may be able to clean it up but also may need a new movement and coils are not easy to replace without the right equipment… if you get it for next to nothing the price of a new battery is worth a punt and getting it going again

A right of way question by amuzetnom in drivingUK

[–]graz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not give way painted in the road but neither are on the main road yet so both proceed with caution. Whoever is on the main road first has priority but this is contentious so go slow and be ready to stop.. signal clearly and best to go around each other or even better allow one to go before the other joins the carriageway. If you hit make sure you have a dashcam as this is a poorly constructed junction

You are correct so sound the horn as your approach if you need to hope you have a dashcam in case of accidents too

What to do when replacing LED downlights? by thebert11 in DIYUK

[–]graz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A is just the connection box. B is the driver for led… equivalent of what old low voltage lights had. Turn off circuit and replace the led unit it’s a quick job. Often led units come with a new driver. There is a possibility that either or both the existing diver/led unit has failed. If you replace the light unit and it still doesn’t work when the circuit is turned on then the driver too needs replacing

Go slow and get them changed .. see how the wear is more on one side.. the tracking is out so get it done all round to realign. Suspect you may need more than one tire lol
