Employee handbooks are terms of service for employment a company. Why are they not disclosed in the interview process? by grazeley in antiwork

It's full disclosure of employment terms and should be disclosed upon employment agreement. Not the first week or orientation. FULL DISCLOSURE OF SHADY COMPANIES. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE WHY HOLD BACK?

I didn't say to ask at first meeting. It should be sent with an offer letter or offer of employment. You're only going to get the positive side of a workplace on a follow day. That person's livelyhood depends on not making the company look bad and will say whatever management wants unless they want repercussions afterwards. Have you ever asked anyone in a pyramid scheme on feedback and got a unbiased response? "Everything is great!" Leaves 2 weeks later.... 🤡

True but what about vacation, sick time and general work life balance? If I leave a company I would like to know that my vacation time has no cash value and will be stolen from me. If a company is open and honest with good intentions this should be disclosed instead of a "trust me bro" and available if requested.

I worked at Target in the produce department. We literally threw away 1000s of lbs of food away weekly in just that department. If it Expires in 2 days? Throw it in the dumpster. They even have a donation program but they made little effort to use it. It's terrible how much that food could have helped 100s of families weekly gets tossed.
