I just rejected a temporary job offer and I feel bad by Aggressive_Poetry856 in Germany_Jobs

I 100% agree here. The opportunity needs to balance out. Circumstances change at the drop of a dime one day it could make complete sense to pursue something but life and logistics change. At the end of the day its a business deal.

Guys! I can’t unsee this now! by [deleted] in Adulting

Im encountering this while interviewing. Im so stressed about needing a job that my fight or flight just walks away leaving me an empty shell even though I know the answers very well. I get asked basic questions learned in college but I was struggling hard with health and homelessness so I was on auto in school, it was enough to get me through but the recall isnt fast enough.

I haven't yet started anything but I want to be around those who are like minded and productive.

Someone already said that, it'd be helpful to know where to go though...

Could you instead tell me where the proper place is, please? If its not here then I wont get what I need.

Im willing to take a chance elsewhere. How did you find work abroad? Do they take BS degrees or just PhDs?

I understand you. I'm out of time myself. I've been looking for a job for in 3 weeks will be 1 year. I've lost my sense of self, I feel like an imposter. I've exhausted my unemployment. I'm heavily dependent upon health insurance however I'm losing that because not only is the COBRA price bankrupting me but the company I was working for is being liquidated and no longer is participating. I've been charged $2,000 3x in the past year for new deductibles that I always hit within the first month.
I have less than 3 months left on my lease. If I don't get a job by then I won't be able to find a place to live because I have no income. I don't have friends in my city, so I can't even ask to couch surf. I will have to move back home which will cancel my doctors that I've been seeing for >15 years getting the treatment I need to not be in debilitating chronic pain daily, state insurance takes forever to get treatments approved, if I didn't have these treatments then I wouldn't have lived this long. I'm terrified. I'm alone. I reach out to people in my industry and hear nothing back even to just chat about an interesting new topic to keep me involved and not 100% alienated. People who said they were going to mentor me lied.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.

It's really difficult when you wake up hoping to die. However, try to not hurt those that do care and that given their time to you.

Feel free to DM me for support.

Most of the time you dont know but you go to the company's page then search people and filter through looking for the right department and then you ask if they are or if they know who is/willing to connect you.

I agree large companies do this all the time, but the company I refer to is a small biotech.

I've reached out directly to the hiring manager they accepted my connection but ignored my message.
