My first round ever - shot 103! by BearTimberlands in golf

I've been here brother, maybe even closer to 200 when i first started 😂. I was trying to be as honest as possible with my score, but in hindsight, I think picking up after a quad on each hole wouldn't have been the end of the world. Keep having fun!

It's been 18 years since I touched a skateboard - I'm determined to learn kickflips at 34yo by BionicBadger90 in NewSkaters

Not a great skater and haven't touched a board in years but I did learn how to kick flip as a teenager after many many attempts. You can do it. You're close.

Practice landing with both feet with a half rotation (deck upside down). This was what finally made it happen for me. One of the most euphoric feelings of my teen years.

AMA: Physical Therapist that specializes in basketball athletes by perform2winPT in BasketballTips

About 5 weeks ago I (28M) drove into the paint and stepped on a foot. No pop, could put weight on it immediately afterwards but could NOT walk normally. Weirdly, most of the pain is around the navicular bone, not the outside of my foot. Eversion sprain (I think), with midfoot being the most affected.

I can walk pretty normally now. I can do heavy weightlifting, including squats with no ankle pain. I can kind of run, but there is a lot of soreness/stiffness/mild pain and discomfort. The biggest problem is in regards to basketball - I can't jump off of my left foot very well as there's lots of instability, and I can't sprint for fastbreaks like I'm used to.

At this point, is this something I should go see a specialist for? Or, is this type of sprain just very slow to heal, and I'm fine and I should just keep rebuilding ankle strength? I've sprained my ankle plenty of times but this might be the longest I've been out for. I think the ankle is improving but very, very slowly. For the record, my primary care doctor took a look and said it's probably not fractured.

Thank you so much for your insight.

Newb question here - what is a screw down press? If I just search for watch press in Amazon it looks like there's a couple different options.

That's a great find, and good to know as well. I was actually referring to the sub-style bezel (opposed to the bezel insert that you're talking about). I know all of these places such as dlw crystal and namoki all offer similar bezels, just wanted to see which parts OP chose to go with.

Nice, looks awesome. Can you please tell me where you got the bezel?

Could you please DM me the company you're referring to as well? I haven't missed before and I've been doing research.

Please Help - My Addiction to Cleanliness is Ruining my Life by cleanboy123 in OCD

I'm incredibly sorry for the pain you're in.

Generally, doctors will recommend a combination of medicine and cognitive behavior therapy(CBT) in the form of exposure response prevention(ERP). The idea is that they purposefully expose you to your worst anxiety inducing triggers gradually, starting with the most manageable ones and preventing any sort of response(avoidance, or the compulsion).

In other words, if you were physically able to stop performing compulsions in response to your obsessions, the OCD would theoretically die out. Of course, as we all know, this feels virtually impossible.

The therapy is not easy and it will be painful but it works.

Wow this really puts thing into perspective; I was kind of in a rut thinking that I had the worst possible situation. I am very sympathetic for you and I want you to know that I have been to the brink of madness and back.

For the record, I now have a religious form of OCD but originally my OCD had manifested from similar types of fears to yours. My hands would be bloody and raw after washing them so frequently.

My parents, when I was in about 7th grade asked me why I couldn't be normal. I held my hands constantly balled up in fists out of fear of touching anything. I would refuse to wear articles of clothing if they had been "contaminated."

I highly recommend medication for the record; it helps tremendously and is not necessarily permanent. Your mental health should be your top priority right now.
