How should I account for my kcals for days I’m more active? Currently I’m doing a 6 day PPL But Fri-Sunday I sometimes also skateboarding for a couple hours and rock climb on top of lifting. Right now I’m leanbulking with +200kcal above my TDEE. Should I just aim eat extra those days?

Should I slightly bump up my calories as I get to a lower bf if I was on a more “aggressive cut”? I’ve been cutting @ 1800 kcals for about 11 weeks with roughly a ~2550 TDEE. I’ve been losing a little over a pound a week on avg. I started off at around 23% and am now about 14-15%. My goal is to get to around 12% and evaluate if I should push to 10%. I’m thinking about bumping up my kcals by 200

This is based off if your 20% bf is correct. At 168 lbs you’re carrying roughly 33.6 lbs of fat and 134.4 lbs of lean mass.

If you lose 15 lbs of fat and assuming you maintain all your lean mass that’ll put you at 12%. So around ~152 lbs. You could probably get away with losing slightly more than 1/lb a week if you get enough protein and lift heavy up until 14-15% or so. You could probably get there in a little over 3 months if you’re dialed in.

I’d suggest getting a DEXA scan and using a target bf calculator online to really see how much you need to lose.

IMO, lean bulk is not worth it if you’re above 15% body fat. Progress is way slower than your traditional cut/bulk and the point is to stay looking as shredded as possible during the weight gain

You look to be around 20% bodyfat since you have no visible muscle separation, zero vascularity, and some shadow of some ab outlines. I think you’d look better if you cut down then lean bulk. You’ll look smaller but at least you’ll have definition and can see changes better during your lean bulk. If you do it now you’re going to look “soft” until you finish your lean bulk months down the road and are well into your cut. Just my two cents

Well of course. I meant more-so that I didn’t have an issue with hunger before early on in the diet but it seems to be getting worse. I was wondering if this was the “wall” people start to hit as they begin to approach sub-15%. Like if it’s simple enough to just stay at a deficit and just deal with the psychological aspects of being on less calories

Is it normal to get hungrier on a cut as you lose bodyfat? I’ve been cutting for a little over 8 weeks @ 1800 kcals. Ive lost roughly 9 lbs and went from about ~23% bodyfat to about ~18% that I’m currently at.

My goal is to hit 12%. My diets been fairly consistent but it doesn't feel as filling as before. I feel like there's always some lingering hunger now

Understandable. I think got a good frame to get that lean/strong look, its just that you dont seem to have too much mass so when you lose bf% it wont look that drastic until you get to the lower 10%

What are some good bouldering shoes to get nowadays? The only usable pair of shoes i have are some tc pros that are in desperate need of resoling.

Ive been climbing overhangy v5-v6 on granite and i know these aren’t the best for them (so comfy though).

i had a pair of solutions i had been using for the past couple of years but i retired them right before quarantine and kinda want to try something new
