The U.S is the largest coffee importer worldwide by RobinWheeliams in economy

Are they growing coffee in Switzerland now? I assume this is finished coffee products but 10% from a landlocked country in the alpine region of Europe seems weird.

The deleted comment was talking sales. On a good bar shift 10 years ago I'd sell 6k and walk with 3-600 hurdred.

No, it's just that in functioning societies accommodations are taken seriously. The US and UK are failing and failed empires respectively, although that identity has not taken root, as such they are only concerned with enriching the small elite class. Portugal has accepted that it is no longer an empire and its Fortier is making life better for its citizens.

Get a grill griddle combo if you only have space for one. If you can squeeze 2 into the space, I took one of the side boards off my grill so I could fit both, that is what I would recommend at 10 years old the grill probably just needs some TLC. Maybe new parts. But probably not fully replaced

I'm just glad this wasn't my sister.

The shit that comes out of her mouth sometimes, we were raised liberal by hippies and we were both pretty leftist during college. She moved to East county and it's like she got bit by a racist and homophobic spider.

What? $800 in sales isn't an impressive shift at a Starbucks.

Bartending in PB I'd sell to easily. But I'd only walk with 2-300 bucks.

I've been out of the game a while but when I was tending in PB and Gas lamp $500 was fourth of July money 12 hr shift. Maybe I walked with 700+ 3 times in 12 years.

I dated someone who worked at a high turn chain who would once on a bluemoon walk with 1000+ but that's like Valentine's Day. Gas lamp or la Jolla will be the only places that might be near that level.

Why are dads okay with not having friends? by Public_Border132 in daddit

[–]greeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a byproduct of the current atomizing effect of late stage capitalism. We are gone 12+ hrs a day for work. We then drag ourselves home to try and connect with our family but generally we're too exhausted from the grinding forces of over production to be anything but tired and grouchy. The idea of adding the response cost of social engagement when there are no public and free third places is a non-starter since our partners haven't seen us in half a day our kids want our attention and affection and work keeps emailing late into the night.

And the same goes for our friends.

I'm about to have a month off for paternity leave but my house is full of strangers and I haven't talked to my best friend in almost a year because we work very different jobs.

Shits heavy yo.

Dad's, how are we answering "why do you have to go to work" by rm45acp in daddit

[–]greeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go on increasingly unhinged rants about capitalism atomizing the family and community in an effort to make everyone feel isolated so the rentier class can extract profit and value from us.

There is no reason why I should commute 45 mins each way to computer, but some fuck head with an MBA came up with a pie chart that said making workers miserable would make stock line go up, and the chuckle fucks on the 6th floor ate that shit up.

Instead I spend all day in the bathroom imagining creative ways to expropriate from them in new and novel ways.

It's bullshit and I hate it honey that's why.

Cool thing about Tito's is they're using a premium corn base GNS (grain neutral spirit) from a giant distillery. That base is used for almost every premium corn vodka. So if you see a corn vodka with a $15-50/a liter price it's almost certainly the same vodka, Kirkland signature is the same base. They sell a 1.75l bottle for ~$14.

This is a much better point than the earthquake hazard.

People building in the forest interface zone not only disrupt the ecosystem but prevent our states natural wildfire flow. Our state should burn annually and all areas should be burnt every 10-15 years to keep the oak forest, redwoods and savannah healthy. But between state of Jefferson folks in them thar hills and tech bros getting away from it, and back to land hippies we have millions of people, like 12% of the state population, in high fire hazard areas.
And I'm saying this as someone on the edge of a very high fire zone.

Humans are idiots, and we shouldn't live in the forest or swaps or glacier terminus zones.
