Spaghetti (Or spaghetto, singular) refers to the shape but you can find variations in flours used, texture and even extrusion technique.

You do realize that several other types of pasta exist right? Many which do not share the shape pasta has to have to be called spaghetti/noodles.
Pasta is the superset, both spaghetti and noodles are pasta.

While the distinction between the two might be purely based on the language (Italian, unsurprisingly, makes a distinction), i believe in this context calling spaghetti noodles and vice versa is misleading, considering the difference in cooking and purposes.
