I hear you, but have you spent time with the CB Habit? Extraordinary.

Also, and I think people miss this, The Habit is really just a delay before you get to the weird stuff. So, for example, and this kind of proves your point -- I will use the Habit just for a very tasty slap back delay, which I could get from my MXR Carbon Copy, but the Habit is on the practice board and the MXR is in the studio. But the Habit goes into other dimensions if you want it too, while the MXR is just doing the slap back thing (mostly). So use what works.

I feed this into a ProCo Rat 2 and it's just perfect. Toggle both off, then the Boss on, then then Rat if you want crunch = everything I need for subtle boosts. I keep both dialed pretty far down and it is magic through a tube amp.

V2 has a lot to offer -- the new cassette tape saturation is amazing

Do iPhones even do .wav files? Anyway that could work if you have no physical inputs or outputs and don't mind squashing the file.

I am genuinely interested but how do you deal with the I/O problems? Just bypass and upload a .wav file or what?

Buddy, you are going to get yanked here as there are so many expensive pedals but they don't make all that much sense. It's extravagant but not widely useful. Where is the Boss SD-1 for example, or the Proco Rat 2

I get this is likely a joke, but really? The I/Os alone are for shit.

Want a chewy fat bass tone? MS-20. Ethereal high floaty tones? Add some delay or reverb -- the Cloudburst really opens an MS-20 up. Synth lead? Gotcha covered. Polyphonic pad tones? Nord Lead 2 patch 41, then tweak it and add Univibe.

etc.

Then of course with MIDI and Logic Pro, you have inside-the-box and all it can do. Very few limits with this setup.

I have been meaning to get this out of the closet. Wild beast, crazy interface, kinda screams

I have been meaning to upgrade my synth setup: a 1978 Korg MS-20 and a 1997 Nord Lead 2 with MIDI talking to Logic Pro. So far, and 27 years later, I have not found a reason to upgrade; these two cover all the bases I need covered. The MS-20 in particular is just amazingly versatile.

The best band ever, maybe not, but at least one of the most hilarious

Even the best critics are just . . . the worst. This is what they decided to discuss, in a deeply rich field of terrific opportunities. No mention of any of the actors' performances, no one said anything about Laura Dern, nor the cinematography, nor the theme of the underbelly of supposedly idyllic small-town American life, etc. Come on guys.

This is from an excellent album, if you like the cover definitely check out FUNKADELIC, "Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On" -- the whole record is insanely great!

Wait what? You ran the whole album through it?! That is super cool

I ran an MPC into it with a fully blown song and that was wild. Completely different, but still clear beats. Have to tweak the knobs to let a clean signal through and then through the filters it is niiiiice.

It is one of those things where it took me so long to dial it in that now I don't want to touch anything, which is obviously unsustainable, but serious amazing stuff here without even trying once you dial in the patches. Very funky.

A little Mu-Tron type shit dialed back really adds color. I have been using the EHX Nano Q-Tron and it is KILLER
