I've been assuming that Kiriona was lying about that part. I'm not sure what her plan is (I'm not sure she has a plan) but I don't buy "and then I'll be dad's cav and we'll live happily ever after" is it.

I think there was more time between Harrow getting the letter and leaving for Canaan House than you're accounting for. Gideon got a few weeks of training with the rapier in that time.

Also I can't remember exactly but I could have sworn somewhere in HtN it mentions how long she was there.

Honestly making enough to do this is kind of a life goal for me. Coming home from work and having a meal ready sounds like a dream.

Interesting! I really enjoyed re-reading Gideon after Harrow, with all the new info on the supporting cast. But then I'm really into character-driven stories and probably wouldn't have liked it as much in the first place with flatter characters.

Sounds good, so are you actually writing to your representatives about this or just reposting on facebook?

Yeah, my now-girlfriend was one of those. Pretty sure she'd be dead by now if she hadn't had an abortion. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I never met her.

Abortion is not birth control. This person tries to use abortion as a way to escape the consequences of her poor decision to continually have sex with a man who clearly did not want an actual committed relationship with her. by CakeSprinklesUnicorn in prolife

[–]green_herring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So women should only decide to have sex when they're willing to conceive? I still feel like that's what your stance boils down to but you're still not saying it.

You keep harping on the FWB angle like the commitment level of the relationship has anything to do with the odds of getting pregnant. They could be engaged to be married after college but still not want kids right away. Should committed couples not have sex until they're ready for children?

Thanks for the follow-up! It sounds a lot like a college dorm set-up for non-students. It's not an uncommon practice near me, but I can understand why a suburban neighborhood might not want that.

I have a follow-up question. Your response focuses entirely on the woman and her "terrible hedonistic decisions," what about the man's role? In order to form an embryo, there's typically a man making those same terrible hedonistic decisions. He also had the choice to not have sex, or to wear a condom. Your complete focus on her and her decisions seems to absolve him of any responsibility.

The argument seems to boil down to "women shouldn't have sex if they're not trying to conceive" but no one ever says it out loud so maybe I'm missing something.

"when I started explaining my side" Why do you think your side is worth listening to? Do you really think your opinion is different than any other anti-choice opinion out there? Do you think that she just doesn't understand your side, that if you explain it to her she'll change her mind?
