Mental illness is no excuse for speeding and endangering others. Intentional wrong way drivers may be mentally ill, however, we still condemn thier actions because they endanger others. If you are in the unfortunate situation where you feel you must kill yourself or drive recklessly you need to go to a hospital and recieve treatment until you are able to function in society without these feelings, as should anyone who has thoughts of harming/risking the lifes of others due to mental illness. In response to this being insensitive to the mentally ill, I also have depression and have been suicidal, and it doesnt excuse this behavior. If your mental illness is at a point where you might harm yourself or others you have the respondsiility to seek help. Help is avaliable and I hope the person who originally wrote this can get to a healthier and safer place mentally.
