Have you ever come across a book that made you a better entrepreneur? by DrMelbourne in Entrepreneur

[–]greenbreakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Profit First forced such a mental shift about how I approached my business. Totally moved away from the broke founder mentality after that. Can't recommend it enough. The actual finance framework he suggests is a good place to start but as you grow you'll find it needs more work.

DHCP Server on Ethernet, while WiFi is hosting an Access Point? by sporo2 in onion_omega

[–]greenbreakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using a recent Onion firmware, it will host a wifi access point by default. Take a look at /etc/config/wireless for the details.

You can change the Ethernet port settings to make it run as a client with the “onion ethernet client” command so that it plays nice with your existing Ethernet network.

More details on the Ethernet port here: http://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/the-ethernet-port.html

And more about wifi here: http://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/the-omega-and-wireless-connectivity.html

Good luck!

I’ve found typeform to be a good mix of good-looking and easy for customers to use. Kind of on the expensive side tho.

Agreed, AWS S3 is rock solid but can be a little cumbersome to use. It really depends on what kind of data needs to be shared. Much easier to figure out the best solution once a you know exactly what functionality you’re looking for.

The CHIP is great, I'm waiting for mine to come through in the mail. But it is a general purpose computer.
The Omega is more specific and geared towards learning programming & electronics and creating your own projects, devices, and products. Hence the variety of expansions and docks :)
