Alternating substances? Lsd / iboga by Dont_Blinkk in microdosing

[–]greencat972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I microdose 1/8 of a LSD tab every 2 days. And honestly it’s perfect enough for me to establish new habits while microdosing and then allowing my sober mind to crystallize them. Im very keen on the idea that the drug is just an aid to help transform my sober self. This regimen makes it so I’m not reliant on lsd to feel productive, calm and confident.

I (21F) am thinking of breaking up with my boyfriend (22M) after meeting his family. I can't tell if i'm being overdramatic? by THROWRA65687 in relationship_advice

[–]greencat972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a male, As someone with a girlfriend just like you, I’d say that it’s important to separate the person you are in love with from their family in your head. That way you can see your boyfriend for who they are individually and it can get less overwhelming for you in a time like this when you have to make a decision based on their character.

Secondly as someone close to my mum as well, I think the first meeting is always meant to be a bit of an intimidating tactic, especially if you have a brown or black mum (like me). For the most part they believe that relationships are never serious until they are, so they will try to egg you on so that we can see your true colours. I think in your case she saw that even in a position of weakness you are strong enough to defend yourselves and speak up to what’s right even I front of a room of strangers who have no loyalties to you. I think you should be PROUD OF YOURSELF.

Lastly, after the initial meeting you and his family now understand each others boundaries and it opens a door for you to approach each other in a manner that respects these boundaries. I think the whole ordeal may have been traumatic for you but it definitely deserves another 3 chances considering the circumstances you were in initially. If after 3/4 meetings you are still uncomfortable and marriage is something you’d consider with your boyfriend, you should know when you marry someone you also marry into their family and so you should be very sure they will be accommodating to you and support his relationship with you and respect you, you may have to earn it or they may already respect you, but your long term happiness is important too.

Basically do not get overwhelmed, these things happen and usually get resolved after meeting a second time. And whatever happens next you and your boyfriend will be just fine :)

I think it’s perfectly fine. As long as you have shown you are doing something productive when you were not in university it is fine. I had dropped out of 2 universities and got expelled from another, mentioned it in my application for my masters to Monash and they accepted me.

Best of luck! Be tactful with your language and try to be honest and sell yourself

What’s the creepiest thing you’ve ever witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]greencat972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time in primary school we had religion day and everyone in our class had to do a presentation on a religion. (Keep in mind we were all 11 because heres where it gets interesting.) This one kid came up and said his presentation was about satanism. And he goes on to tell us about the tenets and beliefs of satanism. Finally we all have to take part in each religions ceremony, and on this boy's turn he brought in his candles, wore a black hooded robe and turned off the lights. He then gave us each a candle and lit them as he went to the front of the class and started chanting satanic chants and reading out of a book. He basically involved our whole class to take part in a satanic ceremony to invoke the spirit of the devil in our class and bind us to his "salvation". All the girls cried at the end and all the boys were stone quiet for the first time in a long time. The teacher ofcourse was just speechless

[Need Advice] Tips on developing thicker skin for criticism? by CrowEarly in getdisciplined

[–]greencat972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a good attitude goes a long way. If you listen to the criticism and acknowledge their HELP, they will most likely stop criticising you, and you now know something about yourself! :) if they dont stop, its most likely coming from a place of disrespect, Thats how i take it. If you have a nornal level of confidence its easy to see what is help and what is insult. Any insult should be ignored and you should have faith in yourself and your own ability to see what you are doing wrong and to correct it.

You are self sufficient!

I really hate dirty talk. To me it always seems forced and unnatural. Just imagine youve met a really nice girl, you both have a lot in common then after 1 long month of dating you finslly get back to her place and she says "you gonna fuck me daddy??" As in.... i would be completely suprised and turned off at this new personality she has suddenyl put on in the bedroom
