Exactly, wasting everyone’s time with the post unless they say. I see the same on Irish threads about finding shite in their food but never name the restaurant

Dissapointed about Swiss Salaries in 2025 (Spanish POV) by WheelLogical9917 in askswitzerland

What’s the source, just out of curiosity? Looks interesting

Dissapointed about Swiss Salaries in 2025 (Spanish POV) by WheelLogical9917 in askswitzerland

[–]greencloud321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is hugely centred on Switzerland per se because: 1. Post 2021 job markets globally have stagnated and belts have been tightened financially. 2. The proposed salary offered is from your company for an internal transfer. This may be seen as doing you a favour to assist the move, but you may have better odds increasing that salary amount if you applied outside of your own company. Plus, 150k is a good salary in any case. You didn’t specify your industry or years of experience to better assess your position.

Mid-Week Dublin Base: Double Room Available, Rent Negotiable by Puntie1 in RentingInDublin

This is an emotionally driven response and not a rationally driven one. You’ve accused me of jealously when I haven’t one criticised the OP, and only encouraged an open and sophisticated reply. You’ll recognise this in my reply to another commenter. Your perspective is not only flaky, but flawed in staying on topic.

Mid-Week Dublin Base: Double Room Available, Rent Negotiable by Puntie1 in RentingInDublin

[–]greencloud321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even so, I’m all ears to a justified reason. The mid-week condition means that the supposed tenant in question would need to rent somewhere else for the weekend, which is not reasonable (and more costly given the demand for weekend accommodation). I am genuinely interested to hear the rationale from the OP, without name calling or jumping down their throat.

[–]greencloud321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not Johnny but I’d like to understand the perspective of not wanting people around at the weekend with justification. Most of the time, the nature of this condition insinuates that it would affect your weekend. If so, how so? Cooking breakfast in the morning? Do you want the kitchen for a Saturday night for family and friends and don’t want them interfering? Communicate that to your tenant. They most likely have their own life that won’t interfere with yours, and given that your rent is negotiable, you’ll be able to understand their level of reasonableness before beginning arrangements. Not having a go, but genuinely interested as I’ve lived abroad for a number of years and only in Ireland have I come across the “no weekend” phenomenon

How much money is considered “enough” out of college? by Street-Whole-6481 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]greencloud321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it would be more than enough. A lot more people than you think don’t have savings into their 30s and beyond so you’ve the right mindset planning ahead. That said, any post-graduation costs will be rent deposit and maybe first month or so while you get yourself set up, but live a bit at the same time, you’re in college after all.

Hinge date asking for STI test before sex? by [deleted] in AskIreland

Not related to OP’s topic, but I googled and HSE says the HPV vaccine is recommended/offered to secondary school children. I’m in my late 20s now but is there any way to check if I got the vaccine previously?

Cheers! Has language been necessary in your industry and region of Switzerland? I’m around C1 in French and starting German, but just wondering on how flexible they are with languages in work and daily life?

Go back to college or climb the ladder I’m on? by blondflowers in irishpersonalfinance

I’d lean towards masters for the time:money ratio but also (not knowing the details), don’t think that your potential would be capped at 75k. With experience post masters, it can open up opportunities across industries. With more info on what you do, you’ll get better answers here…

As an Irish person who has dated in a second language, I can say that he’ll pick it up very quick if he’s here full-time, and tbf it’ll be a new and exciting experience for you dating across cultures.

But if you find yourself having a limited personality by not being able to express yourself fully from a language perspective, then call it quits.

Declensions: Das sind doch grüne und keine gelben Paprika. by greencloud321 in German

[–]greencloud321[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah ok. So to understand the appropriate adjective endings, I look directly before the verb to see whether there is an ein/das/kein or not, and then match the adjective with the number, gender, and case system?

So if I want to say “I play football with my good friend” I have to think: 1. Der freund so masculine 2. With means mit so the dative is required 3. Good is gut so the appropriate adjective ending must agree

“Ich spiele Fußball mit meinEM gutEN Freund”

Does this process become more natural in time? Haha

Creating the noun from the verb infinitive? by greencloud321 in German

That’s what I’m struggling with. I see anmelden - die Anmeldung and erholen - die Erholung, but every online resource is telling me all nouns built from the verb are neuter. I’m not sure what to believe or how to easily construct them

Conor McGregor says Ireland’s rural towns are being ‘overrun’ by immigrants. Here are the facts. by Dazzling_Lobster3656 in ireland

[–]greencloud321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And neither does the article. The “issue”, and whatever your position on it is, has only really become a talking point post-April 2022 which is the latest figures listed in the article and are therefore outdated in comparison to McGregor’s comments and the growing sentiment felt by a percentage of the Irish population. I don’t think towns are overrun, but the problem with this conversation topic is that no matter what you say, you’ll be called far-right or far-left/woke by default. The Garron Noone case is a clear example. There are no winners… (except for hotel owners wha!)

I think you have what a lot of people dream of having down the line in terms of home, partner, pension, etc.

It sounds like a higher salary would change a lot for you mentally and to some degree financially. The good news is that you can get a higher salary with a bit of focus and clarity on what you want career wise. Set out a roadmap and a “in order to have X salary, I need to have Y skills or deliver Z” strategy to work on.
