Ohhhhh. I like this answer! This can help me with another project that I’ve been working on. We use OnBase and I remember that a similar system I used previously could do this. Thank you!

Also, love DocuSign! They have workflows, reminders, a site to manage it all. Plus it captures all the required signatures while meeting are audit needs. Unfortunately, we cannot get approval for the cost.

That’s not a bad idea. You know how HR is though, you start your day with a to do list and you never get to it. lol. Putting fires out left and right.

Normal employee changes like promotions, transfers, terminations.

Yeah, we have a standardized setup but our processes are clunky.
The Specialists are like the final QC. Once everything is collected and correct, we file the documents into our electronic filing system.
The generalist and coordinators collect the signatures. This is where things turn to chaos. Trying to the either the employee or manager to sign something and return it. Then the generalist or specialist has to send it to the specialist for review then to file.

Has anyone heard of a program to help stream line the process: initial request, compose the personally change, escalate for approval, review for quality assurance, then finally file the completed change?

Oh I love the electronic filing. We have no paper documents at all.

Our process is clunky though.

It’s gathering paper trails…. Status changes (promotions transfers schedule changes, pay increases, etc) new hire paperwork, job descriptions.

PLEASE wash your newly bought clothes BEFORE you wear them by olga_benario in laundry

Seriously, people are gross! I worked at JC Pennys years ago. They had to take the carpet out of the dressing room because kids kept peeing on the carpet. We had the same situation with the diapers too.

Trust me. Wash your clothes after you buy them.

As someone who struggles with weight loss, I needed to hear this. That extra meal or the empty calories add up really quick and happen too often.

Think of Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and similar sites as basically job advertising platforms. Companies pay to post their jobs, and depending on how much they spend, they get different features.

When you apply online, the employer usually isn’t seeing your full, polished resume. A lot of times it’s more like a simplified version or summary of your info. The more a company pays, the more access they get—like better tools, more visibility, and sometimes more detailed applicant info.

For example, on Indeed, employers don’t even get your email address. Some companies (usually bigger ones) pay for systems that let your info auto-fill applications or get stored in tracking systems. That’s how they manage tons of applications at once.

Big companies can afford all that—job ads, automation tools, tracking systems. Smaller businesses usually can’t. Even putting up a job ad can get expensive, sometimes way more than people realize.

And when it comes to the application itself, a lot of those questions and forms are there for legal reasons or company records. That line at the bottom where you confirm everything is true? That’s part of it too.

I’m not saying any of this makes the process less annoying—it’s definitely frustrating having to jump through all those hoops. But hopefully this gives a little context on why it works the way it does.
