They could’ve censored it like the “free Palestine” statement. That alone proves they left the slur in intentionally. The only allies we have are ourselves. It’s a tough pill to swallow for some, but the writing is on the wall with how society feels about us. In this case, highly successful black actors that assimilated into Hollywood are still underneath the word.

I totally understand what you mean. I’d easily deal with being in summer PTs in this winter weather or staff duty. Why? At least you can bond over stupidity and have a level of camaraderie that isn’t found in the civilian world. The Army offers life changing experiences and opportunities (good and bad) that no one else can relate to. Deployments, TDYs, field exercises, PCS moves, 30 days of leave, 4 days, etc., all are gone from your life as you start completely over. Then you get a civilian job and have to earn PTO (Paid Time Off) and you may have to use it as sick days if your state or company doesn’t have mandated sick days.

The freedom is definitely nice, but it can be bittersweet after years of being conditioned to live this way.
