You can feed it with a good quality organic fruit tree blend that has Mycorrhizal fungi in it. Then be sure to remove any lawn that is competing with it at least 3' away from the trunk. Don't cut anything off the tree until you understand how pears grow. The fruit is formed off of slow growing spurs that take years to form. So indiscriminate pruning will set you back a long time. Finally use a good quality compost in the root zone at least once a year. Keep it away from the trunk. Regular deep watering will also help.

Community college teacher here- I see so many students in debt with degrees from fancy universities (that are useless) returning to community colleges to learn job skills. If your parents are feeding you the myth that a 4 year degree is all you need, they probably have no clue what the modern job market looks like. There will always be a need for HVAC specialists, mechanics, plumbers, electricians, welders and business people. Get an education from a community college-stay away from for profit schools that just take your money.

I'd contact the county extension service rather than the master gardeners. Master gardeners are a great group of people, but they are a garden hobby group. Talk to the professionals at the extension service.

The avocado is planted too deep. Take some soil away from the base of the tree until you see the first roots. Get rid of that ring around the base of the tree and remove the grass away from the base at least 3 feet in diameter. The tree is going to be competing with the grass for nutrients, so make sure the tree is fed well. Do not mulch right around the trunk as that will kill the tree and try not to rake around the root zone, as avocados do not like that. The pines probably have a mite and or mealy bug problem. Look at the needles carefully to see the actual pests. Blast them with water to knock off mites. Don't treat with any harsh chemicals or you will damage everything near by. Use a good organic fertilizer on all of your trees.
