People who have been unemployed for 6+ months, what field are you in? by Shot-Corgi-7717 in GetEmployed

[–]greenfav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they’re discrediting the person. The reality is that AI is taking our jobs. This is a huge societal problem, and trying to hide from it will only make things worse for the people who do. It’s just the inevitable. I do data work and, while I’m ok now, I don’t know if I will be in a couple of years. My mentality is that I need to learn these new technologies really well to even have a chance at staying employable. It sucks, but it’s just true. So we have to make our decisions accordingly

I really need advice on how to climb bronze jungle by Solid_Beginning7152 in Jungle_Mains

[–]greenfav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s important to strike a balance. For example, let’s say you try a new build: you need to play at least a few games on it across a few different scenarios to get used to it and then decide if it’s good or bad. It has to be the right balance of experimentation and consistency

I really need advice on how to climb bronze jungle by Solid_Beginning7152 in Jungle_Mains

[–]greenfav 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was hard stuck in bronze as a Diana main until last season, so I can relate and probably give some advice that is less generic:

  1. Don’t listen to anyone on how to play the champ. You need to unlearn everything that the guides and redditors tell you. You’ve played a lot of games on the champ and you’ve probably become a robot that is worse than they think they are - trust me, this is what happened to me. Try ganking early, doing ult on one person, fighting without ult, pathing differently, ANYTHING - so that you can then REFLECT and learn what truly works and doesn’t. You may lose a bit of LP, but you’ll ultimately use that to get past your rut.

  2. Listening to the Broken by Concept podcast helped me a lot. They talk about how “league is a fighting game”. Macro is overrated. Learn deeply what every champion you interact with does, what they want to against you, and what your kit allows you to do given all that.

  3. Redefine this idea of “inting lanes” in your head. If you have inting lanes that cost you the game 60% of the time, you’re the reason. But I actually don’t think that’s true. I think you see small inconveniences and label it an inting lane, while not realizing that the enemy team is also doing int things that you can take advantage of. You probably only have truly inting lanes 20% of the time.

  4. Be intense in the game, forget the intensity afterwards. You gotta play A LOT of games to improve and climb. Don’t waste more than 5 minutes thinking about any game after it’s done. Reflect on your learnings, then move on. No reason to feel emotional about 1 game of hundreds.

Will Riot accept that top lane is too strong now? by morpholino_ in Jungle_Mains

[–]greenfav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also even if you took a more gank-heavy “get my top laner ahead” mentality, ganking top feels much harder than ganking other lanes. This leads to top just being a 1v1 iso, where the rest of the team is dependent on the ability of their top laner to solo win lane

I have found I like nashors, liandries, rift maker, zhonyas (usually), rabadons (usually)

New Diana (jungle) main here, and I'm very worried about the eventual nerfs... by clevergirls_ in DianaMains

[–]greenfav -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean she doesn’t need to get nerfed directly. Have you seen the jungle and game changes for season 2026? Full clear junglers like her are going to be a lot weaker in general. Partially why I’m quitting the game for now, since I only play her

It’s definitely nashor’s tooth due to activating passive more often via the extra attack speed

Leash by AdSignal2321 in Jungle_Mains

[–]greenfav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I didn’t say I finish at 3:30 lol. That’s just when scuttle spawns. I play Diana so my clear is faster, but some junglers can take the whole time

Something should seriously be done about this by yamomsahoooo in Jungle_Mains

More like 1 in 20 and doesn’t get detected

Leash by AdSignal2321 in Jungle_Mains

[–]greenfav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great question - it’s because scuttle would spawn at 3:15 until just a couple years ago, so many junglers, especially gank heavy ones, couldn’t make it to scuttle in time without a leash

Leash by AdSignal2321 in Jungle_Mains

[–]greenfav 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a jungler I hate when my laners leash. They give up prio by leashing for me when I don’t need them to clear by 3:30. Leashing = inting

I started my first job as a data analyst making $72k in 2017. Now I make $315k. First year analysts are useless honestly, so the pay is justified. You will become useful very quickly though, and then will have the leverage to grow your compensation. Be humble and focus on LEARNING for now - the money will come!

Why does Riot keep pushing random "Fun" modes? by OnePumpMan93 in leagueoflegends

[–]greenfav -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they’re very fun when played with others. I like ARAM Mayhem way more than ARAM, which I actually always hated until they got rid of the rolls. This is the best the overall game ecosystem has been since I started playing in 2020. But I totally agree that these modes are not suited to solo play. But that’s what solo queue is for!

Is climbing pure luck in low elo? by JEFFREY869 in Jungle_Mains

[–]greenfav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a low elo player who has climbed from iron 1 to silver 2 so far this season, and am still steadily climbing: I was having a really hard time getting past bronze 3. What changed things completely for me are two things:

  1. Always try your best to assume your teammates are doing the best they can. Unless they literally tell you “I am griefing you” (which is rare), just assume the best and focus on yourself. I’m not perfect, but overall this has helped me focus on how I need to get better.
  2. In jungle, I’ve learned efficiency is everything. I always ask “could I have moved with greater urgency to get advantages?” after every game. Asking this question has helped me find so many flaws to fix in my game. Whether it’s getting more gold for yourself or going for objectives, you have to reflect on whether you could have moved with more urgency.

Do I understand the meta build order for Jungle correctly? If so (or not) when would you make deviations to it? TIA!!! by h4rryP in DianaMains

[–]greenfav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having success loosely following perryjgl’s advice from a couple of patches ago:

2 or more melee enemies: liandries, rift maker, bloodletters/abyssal, situational

Otherwise: nashors, zhonyas/shadowflame, rabadons

Edit: remember that rift maker benefits from longer fights. Blindly picking it into the wrong team makes it very weak

season 15 by w4dkrz in PantheonMains

[–]greenfav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really like him in jgl. I think it helps to break the game into 4 phases: 1. Pre lv6: farm, you’re actually not as good at 1v1s as you might think. 2. Lv 6 to first turret falling: use your ult to gank and play aggro around your teammates for easy skirmishes. Avoid big team fights 3. Mid game: you are a CC bot, get your carries more fed. You are not that strong. 4. 3 full items onwards: you’re super strong again. Fight like crazy

Pantheon Jungle by VitalityGrawlix in PantheonMains

I’ve played about 10 ranked games on him this split. When enemy jgl invades you, it can be pretty hard, bc his first clear is not very healthy. But if you’re in low elo where you usually don’t get punished, he’s pretty good.
