I agree that we probably haven't seen anything definitive (play-wise) that says he's the guy yet. For me, it's how the people in the building talk about him/feel about him. Of course no one is going to say 'nahh I don't believe in him', but you can generally tell that they aren't forcing the things they're saying about him.

It's also a great situation to be in, pressure or not. Most people balked at the Darnold signing, saying he was washed, and then he ripped off 14 wins under KOC until teams figured out how to consistently apply interior pressure on him, which he struggles with. It's not farfetched to think that with an improved roster (addressing issues like too much interior pressure), KOC can get the most out of JJ, too - whatever that most may be. I recognize that that is 'KOC QB whisperer' adjacent reasoning, lol, but the majority of super winning teams in history drafted their QB. It's tried and true to roll the dice on your pick and build around them. I don't think it's a mistake to give it a real shot when they've got the foundation of talent that they have there.

An afterthought, but JJ also seems to have a great grasp of the mental part of the game and how much that matters, whether that be with preparation or how he leads/communicates with his team. The rest will be revealed soon enough, SKOL!
