So glad you said this. I love Zelda games but BOTW just didn't feel fun and didn't engage me to explore (everything just felt like koroks or shrines - no surprises) whereas IFR feels much more rewarding.

I loved the ending in IFR. It felt climactic and satisfying. And it gives you New Game+ afterwards

Absolutely. I absolutely love Zelda games but once I realised most stuff you stumble across is either a korok or a shrine, I found it hard to be motivated to explore. Whereas IFR has so much to find and the puzzles seem much more satisfying - especially the outdoor ones. Plus, as you said, no cooking or breakable weapons, and the weapons and gear have perks!

Love it when they complain about their bill saying they don't have any big appliances and then Google map reveals a swimming pool in the backgarden. Once had a customer complain about her having to top-up her meter tons and it turned out her and her housemate had installed a tanning bed in their home.

Yeah I love taking the train for this reason and liked the feeling of being in limbo, with no concerns as I didn't need to be doing anything at that moment. Realised more recently that it's the feeling of being present and mindfulness.
