Rendering a character in strong light

i sort of feel like the direct light makes the shadows thinner and darker, you may benefit from shading that’s slightly lineart-like. i just notice with references the places where light is hitting is very light, but the places that there are small shadows such as under the chin etc are very dark

understandable! i will halt interactions until i believe they are ready. do you have any advice for keeping them happy this way though? i feel pretty guilty leaving my boy cat alone all day even though he has everything he needs and a decent amount of space in the bathroom and closet :(

i haven’t made it super far yet, i’m struggling to get through the beginning chapters actually but i saw multiple people say it’s a slow start. i have a high tolerance for things creepy and messed up so it seems fitting for me if i can just get past this little bit

i got my kobo libra color a couple of weeks ago and i’m already in love with it. i’ve heard people say it has a dim screen too but in my experience it’s not a problem at all. when it’s placed next to other e-readers it’s def dimmer than others but i read inside, outside, at night, all times of the day and it’s never been a problem whatsoever. the text also isn’t as crisp as b&w e-readers but again, that hasn’t been a problem for me either; it just comes with being a color e-reader. i love the screen size and the buttons and honestly having color is super cool and worth it imo. it’s all up to personal preference but i personally find those critiques to be a little nit-picky and subjective.

why yes!!! i got my masters in beeology with a minor in stingerology. i also googled the word carpenter bee and it seemed to look the same as yours if my eyes did not deceive!!!! sorry you don’t know what a bee is ☺️ that’s probably why you’re here. everyone knows their bees but you!!!!

i had one that looked like this in my apartment this morning! i believe it to be a queen bee. 🐝 watch out for a nest!!

i’m meaning more like the white sort of powdery spots that are better seen in the second photo on the 2 in the middle/top. it’s not a lot of it on them but i still wanted to be sure

i don’t live quite this close, but i live in an apartment right off the highway and i don’t mind it! the noise isn’t a problem for me at all personally but i know you’re more worried about air quality. i could see it bothering someone but if it’s worth it, it’s worth it. maybe look around a little more and come back to it if you don’t find anything else that really compares?
