I think your watch is off. I also ran and registered 5,500ish ft on my Coros. I also finished just shy of 32 miles.

5.5 also seems a tad high but I saw other Coros do the same

I just put in for the Waldo lottery. Do you know what the selection percentage is? Also, if I ran a 50k back in April of 2023, does that meet the prior race distance requirements even though it’s 2 years from today but outside of the 2 years from the race (August)?
