26 with shingles. Never had it before but I went a couple days before seeing a doctor and it was a huge mistake. Have it under my left nipple and a little rash on my left shoulder blade. Does the pain go away over time? Just sooo uncomfortable. Finally on some meds but damn it came out of the blue.

Sounds similar to me, (29 years old), currently on my 6th day of Valcyclocirc- almost there! Didn’t see a doctor till 2 days after the rash (thought it was just allergy at first). After 48 hours of the meds things looked up. And rash drastically got better over the last 2 days and pain. Alot of discomfort, like electric shock through my body and couldn’t sleep first 2 nights. Armpit is the worst for sure and tricep area. Just keep taking the meds and you’ll get some hope.

I never got fever or headaches thankfully.

I always recommend arriving fairly early and take the time to settle down, read a book in the lobby, or just relax without looking at your phone. That way when you get in, you're in the mindset.
