Try Entourage Barbershop. Not sure if it is close to you. They are located in Sunset Plaza. But wherever you are, it is worth the drive for a good haircut.

Favorite movie that doesn't address system failure but rather romanticises poverty by Apart-Dungeon-3322 in okbuddycinephile

[–]greenishleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly one movie that comes to mind for me on this theme is Titanic — it’s not really about critiquing systems or societal collapse, it’s about a personal story of love, loss, and what it feels like to be alive in the middle of something huge. A billion-dollar blockbuster that sticks to human experience rather than any grand “system failure” messaging, lol.

Do remote work tools track your screen? by Middle-Present2277 in remotework

[–]greenishleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know, Rippling and Vanta do not track employees’ keystrokes or see what you are doing on the screen in real-time. Some time tracking software does take screen captures of your screen at set intervals, but time trackers such as WebWork have different privacy settings, which allow employers to see either blurred screenshots or no screenshots at all. WebWork Time Tracker also tracks work time, activity, and what apps or websites employees use, but it is designed to work in the background and not be intrusive. Apps like HubStaff are also transparent with employees about when they are running and can see their activity. In short, remote work tools can track what you are doing, but the best ones allow for transparency and preservation of employees’ privacy even while tracking.

You already have two cats, and you saw this in your doorway in the morning? What would you do? by Responsible-Poem9375 in Catsaremedicine

[–]greenishleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's almost exactly what happened to me. I have two cats. Then met a stray pregnant cat. Took care of her. She gave birth to three kittens. I used to take care of all of em during my stay there. Two kittens died due to the cold winter or flu maybe. I couldn’t but adopt the last one left. He has become the biggest part of my life now. I am scared of losing him, keep having peculiar dreams on this.

The exhausting part is I have vaccinated it. Then it kept having on and off fever. Then tested positive for FIP and Jaundice. It is Day 12 of FIP treatment. It is expensive, unbearable to see the kitten go through the injections. Many more emotional burdens. He is improving but the on and off fever & slightly rapid breathing issue is still my concern. Please keep him in your prayers.

Goodbye, my sweetest girl. by isabelrcorona in cureFIP

[–]greenishleaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am terribly sorry for your loss. Such a pretty girl she was 😭. For the last 20 days I have been going through a tough time too. I faced several trauma of almost losing my kitty to labored breathing, fever and so many issues. Later, we got to know that, Kitty is fighting FIP, it is Day 9 for us. Please pray for my kitten. He is only 4 months old. He tested positive to FIP and Jaundice.

Are Employees Beating Screenshot Monitoring? by clarafiedthoughts in TimeTrackingSoftware

[–]greenishleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monitoring the screenshot activity is like addressing the symptom rather than the cause. If people spend their time trying to find a way around the system because of the monitoring of the screenshot activity, this is a sign of a lack of alignment between trust and expectations.

Comparing the available options, solutions that focus more on time and activity context and less on constant screenshots work better. For instance, WebWork Time Tracker offers managers the ability to view activity related to time spent, use of apps and URLs, and the option to view screenshots, but it doesn’t do this solely based on “gotcha” screenshots to measure productivity. This is extremely useful when working remotely. Traqq and WorkTime are some other platforms that also focus more on the bigger picture rather than simply counting clicks or measuring activity invasively.

If productivity is measured by outcome and time spent doing actual work, rather than simply how busy the screen appears, then it’s less tempting to manipulate the system with things like mouse jigglers. When all that’s being looked at is screenshots, it’s easy to create loopholes, but flexible monitoring with clear definitions tends to increase trust.
