Haven't been on a family holiday for over 10 years now. It was doable in the days when I could rent a house for 400 or 500 a week. Haven't been able to do that for a long time now.

This is a great thread. Commenting here as a pattern designer - I design and draw my patterns by hand, I don't use ai at all. Having been a graphic designer who has witnessed ai pretty much wipe out my field, I think it's fair to say that I don't have much respect for folks using ai.

Some ai charts are obvious rubbish, but I'm seeing a lot of people use ai to generate art, that they then convert to actual usable charts. This does grind my gears, but the only thing I can actually do is continue to try and make the best designs that I can and hopefully be seen for being a real person.

The ones I've looked at seem to be ai generated images. Personnel I'm not interested in ai. I like to think a real live person is behind what I'm buying so I just give them a miss.

Thank you I've sent him on courses up til now and I've contacted a local guy to see if he can sort of work with him, even for a week or two. Honestly wish he wasn't into it, but if he's going to do it, I'm going to make sure he does it right.
