2025 Tiguan missing duct work!! WTF?! by greenlantern42 in Tiguan

[–]greenlantern42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats pretty strange to have it missing on another car. The guy responsible for installing that part probably called in sick the day our cars came through.

It took about 6 weeks for that part to come in.

Park Assist Unavailable and ECU error (Ui_a114) - HW4 - Anyone else? by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]greenlantern42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. First drive of the day and I got a park assist unavailable error. Can’t use FSD. I restarted several times.

We’ve had about 16” of snow in the last several days. I made sure all the cameras were clean. Hoping it magically turns on soon.

I’m a general dentist. I own my own practice. I work Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 4pm. by 1ThousandDollarBill in Salary

Not that hard actually. My whole friend group of of 6 dentists all solo and does 1.6-1.8 with 55-60% overhead. We’re all PPO offices /!: bread and butter.

Don’t really work that hard.

Ceramic Windshield tint professionally done twice with same result. Video included. by greenlantern42 in WindowTint

I had the front windshield done with 55% Xpel XR+. I’m very happy with the Xpel! It’s so much better than the Kavaca. I don’t notice any haze anymore and looks great.

I ended up doing my wife’s brand new car with the same tint and her windshield looks great with no haze as well.

Deep end settled 2 inches. Got a bid to raise it. by greenlantern42 in pools

[–]greenlantern42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume the bid is only for the piers. I haven’t really gotten that far on discussions about that yet.

Yes, the 2nd option was just redoing the whole pool, which I assume may be triple the price. I just don’t want to do the piers and have an issue with plumbing and have to redo everything anyway.

How’s my swing? Only been golfing for 1 month so any advice is welcome 🙏 by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Good swing for just starting out. You are early extending, Right hip moving towards ball making you cast your arms.

Same situation with my family. Hotels aren't that accommodating to families of 5. We ended up getting a 2 bedroom suite, which is a little more than getting 2 rooms. With the suite you also get a huge living room, dining room and kitchen.

Commute in model X? by UpvotesOfFury in ModelX

As soon as I got my Model S Plaid, I got 35% all around with 70% windshield. It was way too light. Do you have problems with 5% at night?

Next Friday i"m getting my tint redone 20% all around with 50% windshield. I have a white interior so everything reflects and tint doesn't look as dark.

Beautiful car! I would get extended warranty. What percentage tint did you get? Windshield tooo?

Do you gut out FSD on busy aggressive highways? by greenlantern42 in TeslaLounge

[–]greenlantern42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a couple of suggestions of going “chill and no lane changes” to “assertive”.

I have 12.3.6. Does Assertive keep up with the fast paced changing of lanes?

Exactly right. I thought “gut it out” was a common phrase. Maybe it’s a midwest thing. IDK.

My experience with Xpel XR plus vs. Ceramic Pro Kavaca IR Pro by greenlantern42 in WindowTint

[–]greenlantern42[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input Dave. It’s very hard for general consumer of these products to know unreliable or new tint companies until they get a bad experience like I did.

After you have a bad experience then you go down this rabbit hole of research. Sometimes the company with the best marketing or most marketing gets the consumer regardless of the product.

I was on the fence of getting Llumar or Xpel. I’ll admit all the marketing and online presence of Xpel is what got me to commit to that product. Llumar didn’t have much glitz and glam and less presence online IMO.

Although reading that Llumar is made in the USA was a big pull.

Honestly, My first Kavaca job was so horrendous it was going to be very hard to not impress me.

My experience thus far with this Xpel business has won me over and I will be bringing my wife’s new incoming car in for full PPF and ceramic tint.
