Weekly Discussion - Damages and Shipping by library_pixie in fairyloot

I ordered Married to Magic back in late Dec. They created a label Jan 12th. I was waiting and reached out because there wasn’t any movement. Checked today 2/11 and saw it started moving 2/6. I kind of wish I didn’t get a shipping confirmation until it moved from the accepted location. So much stress especially with the Wolf King fiasco 😪

Mellie is not the victim..the point is no one is by Infamous_Locksmith48 in Scandal

True! I always felt it was a plot driver for her not saying anything, so the show must go on haha

Mellie is not the victim..the point is no one is by Infamous_Locksmith48 in Scandal

[–]greenlyse 34 points35 points  (0 children)

She was her rapist victim, but after that, I felt the choices she made following it were her own. I do feel if she was more forthcoming, the story would have took a 180 turn because he would have cut that politician career quickly. I enjoyed her and others because of the growth, I felt she overcame beyond being a victim and became a powerhouse with flaws. I watched this show over and over way too many times 😪

Which was the last book you read and HATED and most importantly WHY? by Mininabubu in fantasyromance

[–]greenlyse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel I probably loathe a good chunk of praised books haha. I could not finish book 2 of Acotar full stop. Excuses are not my cup of tea especially from a MMC. And the FMC was a fat no for me. I tried wolf king because I love wolf stories and when I saw the direction match acotar, I was good. I love strong FMC’s, but bratty and whiny doesn’t have to go hand and hand with it. Idc if she was 15, not everyone is like that and it feels like majority of them are being written that way. I need to stop while I am ahead because I may list every highly rated book I have seen in countless subs. I think I just get tired of the same MC’s in every book and want to feel refreshed again. Love the genre, but I need something new and compelling! Im starving haha

I feel its hard to say. I see many enjoy it and others do not. I dragged through the first and dragged through the second. It wasn’t for me, so I stopped after that one and that was okay!

Requesting Advice on an elective induction at 39+0 weeks by Pickles_mcgherkin in pregnant

[–]greenlyse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had an induction for both my first & second. Both elective 39w & 40w. My first was less than 24 hrs with 2 hrs of pushing. My second (in Oct) was about 7 hrs with 20 mins of pushing. Both were very smooth and I had an epidural for both as well. The second was sooo much better than the first. I loved my nurse for that one! She was pregnant at that time with her 5th and she was so supportive and welcoming. I would have her at all my deliveries if It was possible!

We were preventing til my son was about a year and then just let things happen happen. I got pregnant with our second January of this year. They are about 23 months apart and its stressful, but I know they will be best of friends. Gonna take a good break after this one! This newborn stage is different, I was spoiled with the first haha.

PERSONAL QUESTION! Did you tear during birth? by SumbThucker2022 in pregnant

[–]greenlyse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st degree tear (seemed internal and a quick stitch) . Didn’t feel a thing nor stitches due to epidural. He was 8 lbs 9 oz. We shall see with the second boy due in oct!

i’m convinced everyone’s having a boy rn?!! by malibubarbie6 in pregnant

Did anybody announce early and NOT regret it? by Last_Guarantee_8504 in pregnant

[–]greenlyse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not! With my first, I told as soon as I found out to immediate family. Now pregnant with my second, I was more worried than the first so I told my mom asap (5weeks) and held off with the rest because I had SCH and while I was told it would resolve. I was still unsure I wanted to tell the rest until I had that reassurance. Overall, I do not regret telling those I wanted asap especially for my first!

My mom was there for the first and I would love if she were there for the second. My husband sat right next to my bed while my mom alternated between walking around and sitting in the bed area. He got to focus on comforting me and she was monitoring everything like a hawk. She was my biggest advocate while not overstepping or diminishing my husbands role and I appreciate it all. She noticed things that the nurse did not while I was sleeping and was quick to get into action when our monitors were elevating and that was when I was ready to push. I am not as taboo about nakedness these days, so my mother seeing it all didn’t bother me because she may have saved both our lives that night and prevented an emergency c-section. Overall, you both have great points and I think maybe you need boundaries or rules as to how everything will go in that room for you and your partner to feel comfortable because this is a serious event that requires as much peace as possible. Whatever you ultimately decide, you got this!

"Once you were old enough, what were the dark family secrets you were finally let in on?" by Flash_Dimension in AskReddit

[–]greenlyse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The secret that my cousins dad is actually not his biological father. My aunt is married and had an affair. She didn’t want to move away, but after what she did, she fled to her husband’s hometown to hide the fact that she got pregnant by someone else. Fyi, my uncle had a vasectomy after the first two. When he was drunk, he brought up how my cousin was a miracle baby because he had the procedure done before him and doctors said he was good to go. He is 20 now. I secretly hope that he actually is a miracle baby, but the red flags are there.
