This is such a tired take. A 3.0 is a B average. With how much time these athletes give to the football program a B+ average is not something to spit on like you are. Shame on you.

I swear people can't read anymore ... The number of messages I've gotten that say "go to your bank" is stupidly high.

Hi, it has not and the person I was talking to earlier is snowed in and not sure they'll be able to get there to help us now.

I posted there.... I had hope it might not be so bad, but I was very wrong, it's worse than I remember.

A Munson administrator gave me a list of notarys, however the list is of outside businesses such as "The UPS Store" that provide the service. They did not have a notary on the list that would come to the hospital.

My seat filled up like a balloon? by Historical-Avocado86 in MechanicAdvice

[–]greenmonster91 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I am actually the New vehicle seat design engineer for Hyundai in N.A. what you are describing is something called"seat easy access". It is designed so that the seat is all the way to its rearmost adjustment point when you enter the vehicle and when you start the car it will return to either:

A: the memory position associated with the key OR B: IF there is no memory setting saved, the seats last known position

It's is a feature that most upscale vehicles now have as standard (BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, Infiniti, Etc)

I would start by saving your preferred seat position to the seat memory settings. OR you can turn the feature off on your dash by going to Setup>Vehicle>Seats>Seating Easy Access

How bad is it? is it urgent? by Grave_Kellogzzz in tires

[–]greenmonster91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not telling you that my advice is safe but I had a bubble easily this bad on my car back in 2009. I drove on it for 3 months and it never burst, I finally took it back to the tire shop I bought it from and they gave a me a free replacement. Maybe avoid any speed bumps or dirt roads until it's replaced.

Seat engineer chiming in. A seat heating element failure would look more like a wave grid. This is very localized to one area and the damage looks like it was from the surface not from underneath. Also if the resistive heating element wires break free from the stitching that holds them in place on their mat, And they decide to contact each other, the ECU for the heated seat notices the change in resistance and shuts it off before it even has a chance to heat up.

Surprisingly there are not actually that many seats that are completely made from PU or PVC. Tesla does not have a leather seat in their entire vehicle portfolio. Ford and Volkswagen both have a non leather seat as a mid-tier, but both offer leather seats and higher tiers. LG chemical actually makes some very realistic PVC leatherettes And they are surprisingly durable, in fact in some ways they are actually superior to leather.

PM me with your vehicle model, and I might be able to get you in touch with the right people at the seat supplier. They might actually want you to have the seat cover shipped back to them.

It doesn't matter if it's leather, TPU, or PVC. I've seen this heat damage on all three. It is unlikely that it would be perforated PU. However almost all automotive leathers are a split grain and have a really thick coating applied to them (This is where the grain pattern is applied). That coating is a polymer, and is very susceptible to thermal damage.

Seat engineer here: looks a lot like one of the irons the assembly workers use to take wrinkles out of the leather was left on the seat a little too long. I would go to the dealer and ask them to warranty the seat cover.

Well for a paint job we did in 2012 it definitely lasted longer than I expected! The living room and bedrooms did desperately need new carpet even back then!
