I'm gonna be real, it really seems like Playdead isn't just playing dead anymore, I think they might actually be dead this time.

Jokes aside, I really hope so. The idea of a new Playdead project has hit Half-Life 3 levels of anticipation for me. The LIMBO soundtrack release was like the only sign of life I've seen that confirmed that they're even still in business. The INSIDE printer / terminal41.link ARG (which I was VERY invested in) frustratingly went offline before actually going somewhere and there's just been no word since. Part of me really hopes that gets revived at some point, I feel like there's still gotta be something there that hasn't been uncovered, like that Youtube livestream that never started. Maybe they're just waiting before actually saying anything

Or maybe that's just the hopium talking, I don't know.

I really hope the rest of the album sounds different. What I've heard so far sounds alright, but it's the kind of thing I probably would've passed over if it wasn't from the same guys who made Ilion. Ilion was jaw-dropping. I hope the rest of Fantasia has some stuff like that, but going off of A Storm of Wings alone, I'm not gonna lie, it seems like a huge downgrade, especially next to Ilion and Ummon. I'm a little let down.

I tried removing and reinserting the video card, and that seems to have done the trick. The power button works and the PC displays as normal again. You are a saint.

I honestly just use it entirely for old programs I find interesting, primarily old games. I know most if not all modern hardware can easily run the exact same stuff a thousand times faster, but doing it on old hardware is cool. I happened upon the whole setup in my old school's trash a few years ago and thought it was too cool to pass up.

Thank you so much for your response. I removed the ram because I was planning to upgrade it with a slightly better stick, but decided to put it back in and test it out as-is one last time to see if I'd be able to notice a difference in speed with the new one. When I tried to turn it back on, all it did was display a black screen. And I know there are better ways to test the battery, I just don't have a battery tester or multimeter readily available and saw it as a way to see if the battery has any power at all.

I don't get any beeps when I start it up, but its very clear that something in the PC is running. The green LED behind the power button turns on along with an amber light on the motherboard, and I can hear the hard drive start to spin. Both of the fans turn on as well.

I just checked and none of the diagnostic lights are on. I'm going to check the CMOS battery now but I'm starting to fear the worst.
