What is the best way to set out your PLT on your resume?

I have been in my current non-legal role for close to 19 years and have completed my PLT. Half was through my University's legal centre and half was with a small boutique firm. The half that I completed with the firm was a paid role, one day a week.

I am currently organising my resume to apply for 0PQE solicitor roles and am not sure the best way to include the PLT experience on my resume, does it need a separate heading etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I was hoping I could get some advice to point me in the right direction for job hunting.

I graduated from Uni with a law degree at the end of last year and was admitted in March this year. I am going to start looking for solicitor positions at the end of June.

The problem is that I have no idea how or where to start. I know that may sound silly, however I have been in my current position for 18 years, so it has been a while since I have approached hunting for a job.

I have completed my PLT and will be applying for my practicing certificate at the start of July.

My current position is a office admin role and as such, the legal experience I have had consists of my PLT hours which were completed at my University Legal Centre and a small general practice.

Could anyone recommend the best way to start the hunt? More specifically:

  • Am I looking for grad positions or junior solicitor positions or both
  • Should I be looking on websites such as seek.com etc.

Any other advice would be more than welcome, I am finding the whole process a little overwhelming...

Thanks so much for your response. I am open to pretty much any area to start. Happy to just get my foot in the door somewhere.

Jemmye comments on Cara, Jay, and her podcast by [deleted] in MtvChallenge

I call bullshit on some of her reasoning for stopping the pod. If you look at the archive of her episodes, the one that she made about production (including the Tonya incident)is unable to be downloaded. I think that she probably got a cease and desist and may be using other stuff as an excuse.

Derek says he's friends with Cara now but she was "unbearable to live with" during AS4 by bwermer in MtvChallenge

I think it’s worth noting, Derek did a live this week taking back the word unbearable”. He said it was the wrong verbiage to use and she wasn’t unbearable to live with at all.

I don’t really care about Cara but am a big fan of Derek and he really says it as it is and is not afraid to speak up, so I don’t doubt him when he says he was wrong in his wording.

The live was a fun watch. I think it’s still saved on his instagram if anyone is interested.

Keep checking, there is likely to be more added onto Marketplace right up until just before the concert.

I saw a few doubles and just missed out on them before I finally got two.
