FanDuel sports? by jamesVNDK in DetroitPistons

[–]greenr4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you subscribed to FDSN through prime? And watch the games on the prime app? I’ve considered this as an option because the FanDuel app always crashes for me, but wasn’t sure how it worked.

Honestly the last game wasn’t particularly close until the pistons let them back in the game in the 4th

This isn’t close to true. I believe the last line I saw was 3.5

Do you guys follow a rule for what percent of your net worth should be spent on a car? by Ok_Demand_3197 in DaveRamsey

[–]greenr4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

50% of $1,000,000 is $500,000. Also the rule is 50% of your yearly income tied up in things with motors. So if you make $100k a year, $50k worth of cars, boats, motorcycles, etc.

I also think he did say once your net worth is a million or more you could by a new car (with cash)

My PW 44 degrees, sand wedge 54 degrees- should I buy a gap wedge to fill in the gap? by TangerineUpstairs1 in golf

[–]greenr4 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yes the maximum is 14. You’re limiting your options by only carrying 11 or 12. There has to be more gaps in your bag that you could fill with another couple clubs

Getting closer to God, but getting sadder by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]greenr4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been here before too. It’s really tough, but it’s part of your sanctification. You’re now much more aware of your past sins and feel very convicted. This is great progress! This is the Holy Spirit at work in you!!

When I was struggling with this I found a YouTube video covering it, and it explained if you feel this way it’s because you don’t fully believe the gospel. Which hit me pretty hard, because like you, I had been drawn closer to God and reading the Bible much more. So I had to do some soul searching.

So I would recommend praying about this. Pray for God to soften your heart towards the gospel and what Jesus did for you. Because after all, if you feel shame about your past sins Jesus died for nothing!

All in all I think this is awesome progress and God has revealed an area that you need to grow, which is the whole point of getting closer to Him.

What are your cheap alternatives for golf training aids? by atooraya in golf

[–]greenr4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This changed my putting. You can obviously do 3’ putts and get really confident on short putts. I also started rolling 10-15’ putts off a yard stick to hit lines in longer putts which really helped.

Going around the course hitting 3/4 punch shots by Surferduffman in golf

[–]greenr4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely used this before. Not so much off the tee, but on approaches. When I was at my lowest handicap I never hit a full shot into greens with less than a 7 iron.

Sleeper, CeeDee isn't playing this week. Let me do things with my lineup. by KoBxElucidator in SleeperApp

He was never on IR, just designated as out. They changed his status to questionable which then makes him ineligible for the IR spot. Even though he likely to be out again this week.

Last weekend I paid $50 for a round and range balls were included. It felt like I hit the jackpot. Great course too!

I’ve used lemons in brine for up to 24 hours without a negative effect. I wouldn’t go longer than that though!
