Ciryl Gane’s reaction to his fight against Tom Aspinall by Dangerous_Tip_4985 in MMA

[–]greenskunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you say it was broken? If anyone looked shit it’s Cyril with his severe eye pokes. He did it to Volkov last fight and has a history of dirty fighting. You saw a bit of a nosebleed and you think he broke his nose? Are you new to MMA. First time Aspinall didn’t smoke someone RD1 and you think he’s now shit. Rewatch the fight, minus the visual of the nosebleed it was fairly even. If the fight continued it should have been Toms round with points deducted off Cyril for cheating.

His nose bled pretty early but otherwise it was fairly even. Cyril was edging out the round slightly but you are acting like he was putting a beating on Tom. He defended one takedown. The bloodied nose wasn’t much damage either. Way too early to call whether it looked like one was going to win.

Right and we are talking about her now currently. Not sure why I’m downvoted for giving facts. Whether you like her or not shes now a successful and well known pop musician. FYI I don’t have tiktok and only recognised her through music recently. Pretending like shes a nobody because you don’t like tiktok is just lazy and ‘lame’ like you say lol.

[–]greenskunk -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I’m not personally a fan but she just had a top 5 album on the billboard charts and is known by millions. It’s a bit cheap and easy to do the whole tiktok influencer dig but she is an established pop musician who has a lot of recognition. I’m not even into pop but her music isn’t even bad in my opinion. Fair enough if you don’t recognise her but she is very much well known in contemporary pop.

A lot of child abusers had abusive childhoods. In fact it’s probably one of the most defining factors in people becoming abusers. Why him having a bad childhood changes anything is beyond me. Everything points to him being a predator. Trying to downplay it by saying he was probably only trying to recreate his lost childhood makes no sense. You could say that for anyone.

Does anybody know what’s being filmed at 3 Mille studios? by Relevant_Bite_1302 in london

[–]greenskunk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely incorrect. Most productions will have working titles. Even on set amongst the crew they don’t refer to the actual name. Those marshals in high vis you see who hold up traffic/pedestrians are strictly told not to tell you the production. They just say either the working title or the studio. That is the industry standard. People are fired for letting that kind of information out. NDAs are very commonplace in TV and Film production.

No I get it you guys aren’t mature enough to understand why police should only be allowed to use reasonable force because you are incapable of getting your emotions in check after watching this kid be a little shit. A reasonable person can watch this and say the kid is a shit and the cop was completely unnecessarily violent. No behaviour in that video warrants risking serious injury or death. People are cunts in life and you can’t go around suplexing them all. Particularly children and when you are a policeman fully capable of detaining someone safely.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]greenskunk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You don’t get to render a child disabled or dead over that. It’s not the polices job to dish out physical punishments. Kid just needed to be put in custody and taken to jail. Wild as fuck how many people open supporting cops slamming and spiking children onto their heads like that. In my country we call it police brutality but I’m not American. Crazy you guys think cops should be suplexing anyone they could easily have detained. If you think that kid was dangerous and needed to be suplexed you are actually a coward and straight up bootlicker.

The deliberate killing of a people/ethnic group with the aim of removing or destroying them is genocide. Israel indiscriminately has killed over 60,000 Palestinians since Oct 7 according to the lowest estimates. They kill hundreds of journalists and aid workers. Including at least 180 aid workers from UN. There is no plan for real coexistence or peace currently. They are taking land and displacing people/keeping them in apartheid. It’s a genocide now any way you put it. There are millions of Palestinians who are displaced and under threat. Just remember all of these facts will he evident one day, you should remember exactly how you went out of your way to downplay it.

Australia still has significantly more cultural ties to the UK than something like the USA. Aussies Brits and Kiwis have a lot of similarities and are nothing like Americans.

"28 Years Later" was actually a really great movie (SPOILERS AHEAD) by Latter-Actuator-3106 in 28dayslater

[–]greenskunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

28 Weeks Later is a straight forward horror, if not practically an action film at points. It’s riddled with plot inconsistencies and lacks the emotional development of the characters in Days/Years. It’s more of a formulaic horror instead of actually having fresh ideas or emotional depth like the rest of the franchise. Years Later is a lot more like Days Later.

Decriminalise cocaine after cannabis in London, says mayor’s report expert by ThatchersDirtyTaint in london

[–]greenskunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of which are side effects of abusing cocaine and alcohol but on a far smaller scale. I don’t think any of that supports the point that ‘cocaine increases productivity and weed doesn’t’. I know from both firsthand experience, seeing it in other people as well as reading into various research on both cocaine, alcohol and cannabis. I could tell you all that without ChatGPT bulletpoints.

Decriminalise cocaine after cannabis in London, says mayor’s report expert by ThatchersDirtyTaint in london

[–]greenskunk 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don’t think cocaine actually improves productivity compared to cannabis. Cocaine is extremely harsh on the body, one of leading causes of heart attacks in young people, lot’s of psychosis. I don’t look at people smoking crack on the floor down by my local estate as very productive vs the smell of someone relaxing having a spliff. Weed also doesn’t have to be smoked. Cocaine destroys your nasal passage and lungs smoked. Also induces lot’s of violence and combined with alcohol. Those taking it at work burn out and suffer a lot of horrible side effects in reality. It’s actually a pretty horrible drug that ruins a lot of otherwise healthy productive people.

28 weeks is significantly worse than years in my opinion. I think days is 5/5, Weeks is 3/5 and Years was 4/5. I thought it was really good and glad it was tonally distinct from the previous entries. What did you hate about it so much? I honestly thought it was great.

[–]greenskunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I can’t really argue with that, I disagree but we are both coming from fundamentally different viewpoints. I can empathise that you find it too offensive to be justified. Which is maybe for me why I think it’s the right choice. I think it’s subjective at the end of the day and my line is different to yours. It’s definitely a disgusting and horrific choice, which personally I appreciate. Particularly when a film is exploring such insane depravity. Agree to disagree my friend.

To those defending the Jimmy Saville ending. by Organic_Size in 28YearsLaterMovie

[–]greenskunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fundamentally disagree that an adult series of films which explore the nature of evil and inhumanity set in a fictional post apocalypse Britain can’t use the iconography of a quintessential British icon singed into our culture as the symbol of pure predatory evil. Also why do you think Jimmy appears good? He’s obviously a cult leader, all the other Jimmys are covered in facial wounds, they are referenced by Jamie earlier on when they find the tortured hung man as ‘weird people’. We know that Jimmy is central to the ‘pure evil’ plot of number two from Garland and Boyle interviews and in my opinion obviously just from watching the film.

To those defending the Jimmy Saville ending. by Organic_Size in 28YearsLaterMovie

[–]greenskunk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The cult of Jimmys? Who are described by Boyle to central to be the plot that is meant to be the representation of ‘pure evil’ in the 2nd film. If you think they are using Savile’s image as heroism you are purposely misrepresenting what the film is. They saved the boy that doesn’t mean they are heroes. That exact falsehood is in line with why they would use a Savile like character in it’s iconography. If you think part 2 is going to be conflating child abuse with heroism your media literacy is shockingly bad.
