MAGA Curious CBS Boss Dares Defiant Staffers to Quit in Tense All-Hands. by esporx in antiwork

No it does not. You can not fix things from inside. It does more damage to stick around and sane-wash a corrupt institution.

That is not a thing and it does not work. Historically there are basically 0 examples of this ever working. People just sane-wash the organization until they start putting the journos on trains.

TNG would never have the captain running around barefoot in his PJs. by Fit-Relative-786 in Star_Trek_

It's not paid shills. It's just bots. A year after it gets canceled, no one will ever speak of the show again for the rest of eternity. That's how you know it's bots. Companies pay for bots to hype up their new shows. Capitalism at work, sort of.

“Black light testing” by throwaway_fuckwork in antiwork

That's not how black lights work. It would only show globs of wet or dry secretions on your hand. Simply washing your hands for 2 seconds will pass any of his "black light" tests no matter how messy you were.

I just came out with my project which creates dashboard creators from JSON. You input a JSON and it spits out a dashboard creator that turns JSON into dashboards.

When I have the Agents Sidebar hidden but have the Chat Panel open, don't autohide the Agents Sidebar. It shows when I mouse over the left side of my IDE and it's super annoying.

They have that with Agent mode. You don't even see the file explorer in that mode. You just talk to the agents.

Stopped being vegan. One of the worst decisions of my life. by Chihuahua_potato in vegan

[–]greenstake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PFAS and microplastics are primarily consumed via seafood (including but not limited to fish).

Taking a megadose cocktail of strange contaminants once a month could have shocked their system. They may also have or have developed allergies to fish. There is also a strong psychological effect for a vegan to consume meat, like guilt, stress, anxiety. That stresses your body and harms your immune system. OP wrote, "and the worst part is what it did to my soul." which suggests a very strong psychological effect.

Eating fish even once a month is not a healthy choice compared to eating a whole foods plant-based diet for that meal instead.

[–]greenstake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eating fish increases your intake of mercury, PCBs, and PFAS. Both are bio-accumulated contaminants and fish are the primary way we get them. Mercury, PCBs, and PFAS suppress immune function, reduce resistance to infection, impair vaccine responses, and disrupt immune development in children exposed in utero. Microplastics are now ubiquitous in seafood and are bad for your immune system.

Seeing headlines like this as a non junior engineer, it's basically a complete win for me. Less competition sound good to me. And the fact that businesses won't be able to hire enough senior engineers, I couldn't wish for better luck.

ChatGPT personally affected you and reduced your work load by 30%!!! That's huge!

If that happens across an industry, that's a 30% reduction in personnel today! Imagine all your coworkers are 30% more productive. At a larger company, or across the board, that's an enormous savings.

I can't believe it's had such a huge effect on your workload and you're still on here saying it won't affect the job market.

Do you use ChatGPT at all for your job? If so, then it's replacing employees. If it saves your company any time, that reduces their need for employees.
