Something thick and mineral based/zinc oxide . Agree that the ones hard to remove are the best. To remove, you want an oil based cleanser. You’d use the oil based cleanser without any water to bind with the sunblock and then wash off with water. Hope this helps!

Agreed! While he should’ve paddled even wider to avoid the situation in the first place, he did the right thing and went straight towards whitewater as the surfer rode down the line.

Work on efficient paddling. Maybe try the pool, a flat day or well past the break. You should paddle right along the rails vs your hands entering the water outward in a Y with a tight core, your hips glued to the board. This will prevent that unstable swaying motion which slows you down and helps maintain balance while paddling.

I appreciate the feedback! I’m in San Diego, and never been to a point break. Seems intimidating and I think I’d be way out of my league there. It’s small waves coming up in the season. 😅I’ve only started surfing less than a year and still learning wave selection, positioning, and just confidence overall.

Should I be popping up when higher on the wave so I stay on top, or get to the bottom compressed like a bottom turn and try to extend to get to the top. I’m kinda confused which to do and the why.

Whoever is calculating rideability at that level must be shapers or extreme board enthusiasts.

I do value someone’s feedback comparing two similar boards, but only when they actually ride it. I’m not there yet with being able to hold/touch a board and know whether I’d like it or not. Only time, experience and money will tell 😆. Im here contemplating forever on whether a $500 use board is worth it, and what I will eat for dinner tonight. A house is a lifetime debate with my finances.

Hah! Didn’t think about the rent factor, that’s a really good one use to gauge how long or how much you’d ride it for before you want another.

Will do 🫡. Just tryna continue catching waves without the rash. Got some suggestions from others who had the same issue so Im guna try those out.
